I agree, Ekade - this is absolutely correct. I see it every day at work. (For those who don't already know, I teach 8th graders, aka "Walking Hormones.") The behavior of some xXx members, then, is VERY familiar to me.

No, this is more of a rebellion thing now, as teachers in many schools have it suggested to them to use different ink colours such as purple and green instead of red ink, because the traditional red ink has too many negative connotations and may injure the child's fragile little ego.

OH, and I've heard that xXx is trying to screw over the RPers again with their "Pimp & Hoes" party on July 1st. Their plan is to get RPers up on their "Luxory Craft", land on Kashyyyk and then abandon them.

Or just leave them in space as they all log out.

I'll be ready to ferry any poor foolish RPers that travel with xXx to Kash. Xyryn spoke to the xXx guildleader and he was civil and tried to work with her... (as she explained to me)... and spoke of an event hosted by xXx and The Kreetles. I summarily passed on the idea, as I've /addignored a majority of the guild, and doubt any of our members would be willing to attend. I kinda wonder if their trickery and Xyryn's discussion could be one and the same.

xXx needs to stop trying to be -aDv-, they need to get over themselves, never type a thing again and only communicate to each other via ventrilo or whatever they use and just pvp.

Stewy saying "Heil Hitler" in Anchorhead to a german player dancing in the cantina is not cool.

They are not good "bad guys". They excel at being Obnoxious. That's it and that's all they will ever be.

Nobody is denying the uncoolness of xXx at all. I think what Curse was getting at was trying to differentiate between xXx and -aDv- or Delta.

As someone that knew a few aDv and Delta members back in the day (Alonzo knew them better than I), I can assure you that while they were brash and talked big, they were not racist and walked the walk. They were just a group of really elite power-gaming PvPers. WHile I am sure they didn't mix well with any of the roleplayers here, they weren't the same immature lot that xXx is.

I know that when Alonzo and I read a post earlier in the thread where xXx were compared to -aDv- and Delta, we both shook our heads. xXx is trying to be -aDv- just like that quiet nerdy kid suddenly tries to be cool. You know the one, where he just goes overboard trying to prove how cool and worthy he is, all the while everyone just cringes at his over the top actions are. That, for the most part is xXx.

To summarize, -aDv- & Delta, original, cool, played the "bad guys" with style and tongue in cheek

He was in Delta at the time. I told him I felt it was in inappropriate and his response was to tell me to shut up, he wasn't talking to me.

I hope he's happy that over 6 million people died so he could be an ass.

I had some problems with aDv when I first met them. After I got to know them I never had any problems with them at all. They played the game differently than I cared too since I am not a powergaming pvp'r but I understood them. I can't speak on xXx because I have never seen them.

I remember aDv well though. I used to talk to stfa on teamspeak with zo, toront, and aerulai. I even spoke to digi a few times on ISO's vent server. I think it was their server. this was a long time ago. Lires had his moments of idiocy but he even made me laugh sometimes with the stupid stuff he would do.

I'm not saying I never thought anything they did was childesh, but I didn't find them offensive. And I cn't believe I am trying to defend anyone but I don't think they should be labeled as total asshats.

Individually, they may be fine outstanding people. I've spoke to Lires as an individual once or twice and he seems okay. But as a group, they wear a collective asshat.

It's exactly like a group of playground bullies. It's exactly the same mentality.

I don't find a group of playground bullies behavior tolerable and I am not going to change my standards just because this is an online game.

In reply to Iago's last post, Snado was being a frog - hopping around in the prone position. He was also being a continuously obnoxious to a select few which is what started the firefight.

Given the collective mentality of xXx, as described in this thread and ingame, they appear to have done the rest of the players in Gorath a favor by gathering together the majority of the bullies under one label.

How very convenient. :-)
