Does it remind anyone else of that story from "Scarey Stories to Tell in the Dark" series about the family who brings home what they thing to be an exotic dog but it's really a mutated sewer rat or something? ....
...or am I just horribly oddly read? <g> It is one ugly, flea ridden, sonofa.

For some reason it reminds me of Return of the Living Dead where the gas from the canisters leaks in the medical supply warehouse and the "Half-Dog" display piece starts moving and whinning. Freaked me out as a kid.

Actually, the picture makes me really sad because it reminds me of when I was working in a vet office and cared for an aging sheltie. The creature was in a lot of pain and had lost most of its fur. It was so old that its flesh and skin was literally rotting off its body. It wasn't really sick, it was just too old to really go on. It looked pretty much just like that zombie dog...

I would feel bad for the dog...except that it is still an award winning dog!
Three years running, this dog has won some kind of contests...gaining him near stardom. And I don't pity the famous.

Well combining the two discussion here.. maybe it's Jesus Zombie Dog... i mean, the man can raise people from the dead, so maybe this is his dog. And the fact that it wins things is strong evidence of the divine ;)
Jesus is an ok fella in my book, i got nothing against him and i'm sure he can take a joke. After all, his dad created us (humans), is there a bigger joke than that? *winks*

I believe it is an exellent example of Darwinian evolution - survival of the fittest. Many Asian countries eat dog on a more or less regular basis - Shar-pei? Big wrinkly bbq. Chow-chow? Kung Pao hound. Pekenese? nifty appetizers. Chinese Crested Kowakian? er - ugh - no, I'm a vegitarian.

Some Article I Found Somebody Else Quoting wrote:Unfortunately, Sam is suffering from a number of age-related ailments (congestive heart failure, lung and kidney problems) and will probably make no more public appearances, so he may have to cede his "World's Ugliest Dog" crown in next year's competition.

I'm with Ekade this time around. One of the funniest things I've seen in awhile.
(On the other hand, I hope that Sam is resting peacefully now. Given the description of its problems, it isn't fair to keep it alive.)

Did this thread tangent so often that it came full circle and we're talkin' about the dog again? I'm speechless.
