Honestly, I look for them to copy WoW completely. No penalties... but every reason to participate.

What I'd expect as of now...

1) Current ranks not changing to avoid complaints from current players.
2) Added 'fade' rank. You have to PvP to get it... and to retain it.
3) Death... just means you didn't advance in rank today.

I look for them to try and keep it as simple as possible. Especially with the additions, or retractions however you want to look at it, they've made with the game's complexity now.

I think if you die in a faction battle you should lose faction points and rank. So the other side can actually push people back to being out of the GCW so they have to grind their way back in.

Faction loss on PvP was around at one time.

In WoW, your faction rank is a result of PvP, not PvE.


What's wierd about it though.. you are competing against your own faction. Your rank is relative to that of everyone else in your faction.

Have they definitively answered whether or not we can remove our adk's from items without destroying them in the new system or are we just SOL on that one?

I don't see it on the boards yet... unless I've missed it amongst all the TC threads.

As it is now... you've got to destroy the item to get it off (which they originally said it wasn't going to require you doing. *shrug* Go figure.). The Hub-bub, forgot who said it here already, is that their going to make it 'removeable' from the item now. I would assume so we can claim our NPKs.

With Item decay going bye bye... I wouldn't be surprised if they either:
A) Delete all existing ADKs attached to items in the conversion. And reset the reward for them.

or

B) Simply hand out new ones to everyone with an old enough active
account.

But, since that makes too much sense to do... I'd lean toward SOL till we see an official posting from the Devs.
