Slave Event...

Actually theres a pretty good tie in to canon issues, and IC stuff. I think everyone and their brother has "former slave" in their bio somewhere. Where are the slave owners and slavers.
But then again there are those who fight on the side of light, who would destroy it any chance they get.

Kirt: dude, Im sorry. I have to say they are working a lot on changing the game. I myself had decided to leave, but I see myself missing out on all this creative potential. I love RP and can't get enough... plus can't make such a poor exit, after Whar's rapid introduction into everyone's life. I had some plans for his future as a greedy crime lord, but his lack of funds killed that one. Then I changed my mind, and trailed him off into a different destiny. His true identity is being revealed more and more with each event. He went from bad news, to a person who is dead set on changing people's perception of both him and the power behind him. Can't get enough...

I think we have decided that this event will become part of the Roba Event. So that some don't miss out on their social time in the Roba we can set the intervention to occur later on in the event. But the slavers have scouted some targets and see the Roba as ripe for the picking. So if an admin would like to chalk up part one for Friday, and we should schedule a second part for saturday. Allthough we could see how things flow on Friday and carry it on.

Oroho, dwilah, Be careful. If you are in the way of the slavers, they may just find a reason to grab you... never know, they may have clients who are of the furry variety.

I must ask that anyone in the Roba during the ambush not act like a gung ho fool. And if someone does try to fight (could be interesting to see at most one) it should result in all the slavers incapping them... I dont want any DB's on my watch. please let me know if you have ideas.

Here's a quick clearification for Roba Night. I dont want to disrupt their event to greatly so we're not going for rounding up potential slaves there. However, the building in witch the slaves will be held is with in the city and I will post a wp to the house Friday. The slaves will be round up throughout the week so go getem Hashum.

Whar: I think we should hold this off one more week so that we can get a few more people involved and give me time to set up a BIG surprise for the ship part of the event that I have planned.

Good. I'm glad to see there will be a buildup. A good story-arc will have several events prior to and building up to the climax. I think that is one of the things that made the Replicant Wars so successful. The build-up not only made people anticipate the climax of the story, it pulled other people in as well. The first few events could be small and appear relativity insignificant. It should follow by events that build to the climax of the plot and maybe reveal the significance of the first few events. The important part is the build-up. Without it, the climax has no meaning.

There is also the possibility of this being part of a larger plot. The best example I can think of now is in "The Lord of the Rings". The passage through Khazad-Dum climaxing with Gandalf's fall being only part of the larger plot, The destruction of the One Ring and it's climax.

Yes, Roba night is a good time for capture. That is when we usually have a good number of folks on.

Perhaps let us perform until about 10pm CST.. then do the capture.

If I may offer a suggestion, if you want to avoid heroes then you should try to lure us out, or get us on the way home. Kidnappings inside the Roba have been generally unsuccessful. Ask Kirt.

Imagine the scene at the end of the Blues Brothers, where all the cops and national guard caught up with them. They had like 100 guns pointed at them. That's just about what happened to Kirt when he tried to kidnap Ekade from the Roba.

But seriously, you might want to know in advance how you are going to handle possible conflicts during the capture. In general, there is no agreement amongst the RP community on how to resovle heated conflicts in RP events.

I guess what I am saying.. come up with a rock solid plan for the capture. Don't tell me what it is.. I want it to be a suprise. But if you want me to stick to a timeline as far as leaving, so you can coordiante, I am more than happy to accomodate.
