It will be interesting to see what they do to crafters in the upgrade as well. But they did say they were planning on reducing the SP required for Image Designer and one other branch of Entertainer so that should be a bonus for all of you.

Here is my thinking on what their doing to Entertainment. Without Mind wounds to Heal... Just what is it we're going to be Buffing!?! Are all Buffs going directly to the Health Bar now; Or is that just an assumption we're all making?
I like the idea of a more streamlined game; But I don't want to play a kiddy game either. SWG is great the way it is with the mechanics of battle I think. It's more different than anything out there. They just need to tone down how strongly they let armor and buffs work. Its always going to be about formula and hoping your timing is right. That's why it's a game. That part of it scares me because 'that' different of a new game could be just plain yucky to most of us veteran players.

We already know that these crafting professions/branches will receive a complete overhaul with experimentation at least, if not new skins:Hashum wrote:It will be interesting to see what they do to crafters in the upgrade as well. --Chef ((Food will change with the new stat pools))
--Armorsmith

--Artisan ((Mainly affected here that I can think of are weapon powerups and armor/weapon repair tools, depending on how the new weapons/armor works in this regard.))

Frankly that's exactly what I'm scared of, they're changing so much it won't be the same game.Jedi2b wrote:Here is my thinking on what their doing to Entertainment. Without Mind wounds to Heal... And I think I read Mind buffs will help with the support bars somehow.

From what I've read in the SOE Smuggler forums, Spices are going to be the big buffs. Long term buffs are going to be limited to 10%. Short term buffs 20%Dwilah wrote:We already know that these crafting professions/branches will receive a complete overhaul with experimentation at least, if not new skins:Hashum wrote:It will be interesting to see what they do to crafters in the upgrade as well. I can't remember if they said the only attackabe bar is health. I do remember reading that you only get incapped when heath is 0. If this is true, then you may be able to attack a doctor's mind stat to prevent them from healing for instance. They just won't get incapped. If that's the case, then Entertainer mind buffs are still feasible.
As far as specials go, maybe a BH's Eye Shot may not incap anyone but it could be used to prevent actions that use the mind pool much like a sweep may cause little actual damage to the health but it may drain the target's action pool.

Looks like I'm wrong about Ent. buffs
