I'll ignore Noval's "quiet time" (you know, the usual -I tease!). I agree with Skarr on this one though really... if you had to hit only from the rear to hit the engine or a highlighted spot on the ship more accurately to kill the reactor, I'd like targeting for PvP more. I've never been a big PvP fan at all, honestly. But point being that the ability to freely blast and concentrate on one component to disable a foe cheapens it to me too.

Just my two cents from the lowly Jinx's Gambit. I'm not driving any tank around.

Yea Ive done a few duels with Dwi, and Isleh and I must say that targeting componets with 7k damage weapons ends it pretty quickly.

Y'know, reading this thread makes me want to get back into space PvP. To be honest, I haven't really been back in space since I got Master Pilot status, and that was the day Kessel went to PvE. I'm sure I'd die a few times before getting back to old form, but hopefully the old form would come back quickly.

As I used to PvP in Kessel quite a bit (it was hands down the best place on the game for XP before making it PvE killed the spawns), I got used to people's strengths and weaknesses as well as my own a while back. As someone has said before, the biggest mistake people make is accelerating full speed at someone trying to make a "chicken" pass. That's one way to end up dead very fast. I honestly think, even with his duel lvl 10s, I could take Novall in a chicken run.

Since I'll have some extra time on my hands starting Thursday, I'll hop back into space. And if I make it far enough, Novall, get your Dunelizard ready. I'm going to gun for you in a TIE Advanced, so it'll only be fair.

Thats why I dont do chicken runs...I do the Talon Manuver :P All my ships except Storm 1 are stripped of computer and droid parts. I pride myself on flying by the seat of my pants...and in all honesty theres no droid thats gonna save you in the end.

R2 saves everyones bacon in every movie at least once....Shield on the Naboo cruiser, turning off the molten metal dropper, turning off the trash compactor, activating the hyperdrive on the falcon, bringing Luke's lightsaber.

As I have said before the only thing good about droids is that they can be sold for scrap. That is unless your an imp or reb.

That would have been REALLY funny if it did not have to be pointed out. Nice idea though. :D

I've yet to do space pvp, and like raggs, i've not done any space stuff since I got master on both my chars. I'd love to give it a try sometime. I'll get owned, being as I've forgotten most everything, but I like to think I'd give folks a good run once I got back in form.

As for the multiplayer ship fights, that would be great. I'd do it in a heartbeat. Only problem is, it seems everyone sucks at gunning, and unfortunatly, I can't clone myself to man both gunning positions, navigations, and pilot. (Though If i could, the galaxy would have something to fear indeed).

On the flip side, a lot of pilots fail to take into account that they even have a gunner. Rather than maneuver the craft so that both guners have the target in site or have access to targets in general, they tend to fly straight after the fighters as if they're flying a fighter.

Maybe I should start a school for gunning in the various ships. Take some folks up for training. Perhaps start a pilot one as well.
