Well, I got in. I'm stuck on the Falcon's ramp probably like half the server. I have mixed reactions here. Combat was interesting..probably could get used to it. I wish I could see more though.

Ok, I got on for a whopping 2 hours and this is my impression:

Chat: Blows now. It's just like WOW where you have to hit enter before you talk.

Specials: Very awkward to use in an intense combat situation because you end up jumping before doing a special about half of the time.

Combat in general: I liked it. I'm not a FPS fan because I tend to be a little slow on the draw when it comes to aiming and shooting, but the CUNT seems to be slower paced than the average FPS, so I was enjoying it. PVP is kinda fun because it's not as "hitty" as it is now so there's a lot of blaster bolts flying everywhere and no one getting hit, just like the movies.

Professions: I tried smuggler and the smuggler specific missions I tried were pretty cool. Nothing earth shattering, but at least I felt like I was a smuggler. What i hate is the apparent combat ineffectiveness of any character that wants to be an entertainer or a trader. If you choose those professions, that's all you can do. There are no hybrids anymore, so you can't even be an ineffective fighter as a dancer.

Quests: I did a couple after getting to Mos Eisley and what I thought was the neatest is the fact that you don't get a speeder anymore. You can earn one, steal one, or scavenge parts to build one while fighting off Tuskens in an area called "Junk Town". I chose the missions to scavenge the parts and thought it was a blast. It felt very Star Wars to me.

As for RP? Well, it's still pretty much the same game and I like that it kinda forces you to be more of a bad ass in combat to play one. There's no more compensating for being a bad fighter by buying the best food/weapons/armor...now you can have the best shit, but if you can't aim using the mouse, you should probably just give up now. IN terms of RP, the only thing this change does is make us adjust how we RP and fight. Nothing more. I think it'll actually make people RP better because there's a lot more left to the imagination in this system.

Can anyone find out if you can create multiple chat windows.

Hitting enter to type and WASD movement, I went to that with the new keymap after the CU. To keep from jumping around, just unmap the spacebar.

They said it would be up soon(they're releasing a patch)but as of yet I can't see any of the servers. Either they moved them back to testing inside SOE or they are still offline to load the patch.

I've been trying to get in for 24 hours now to no avail...
For those of you who have gotten in, is there any method you are using?
Does the status of the server change from full ever?
Or do you just keep clicking join server?

I got in again..you just have to keep clicking. Every hour they are going to start booting people that are still in the hanger bay/medical bay first portions of the game. It will free up the bottleneck on the game. The MF issue has been resolved as well.

I guess to each their own. It does feel very star wars like but a bit too simplistic for my tastes in regards to the controls and all. I don't know if I really like combat that much. It's okay but there really isn't any depth to it either. What I do like about the game is that the quests are a great way to start off.

Well, my first impressions after being on TC5 for ten minutes and getting my first missions as BH from Boba Fett:

I am totally disappointed with this!

Maybe if SWG has started like this, I would have been happy with it, but knowing, what we have had, I fear, this is nothing for me anymore.

My disappointment was so big, that I logged out of TC after 15min to make room for other people.

I will test it again with my main character, as soon as this is possible, to give it another chance.

But for now I will sneak Linus his binky to get some comfort.
