As far as i know that is not just a rumor taken from the interview, Jim Ward, vice-president of marketing at Lucasfilm Ltd. seems to have confirmed too, that there will be a tv show coming.

I'm crossing my fingers so hard they're about to break! I hope they get the right team. 100% sure that almost every writer in the business wants to contribute.

Last year I had an idea that they could help maintain the quality of the show by making 8 episodes per season like The Sopranos formula. The waiting between seasons would be cruel, but the stories would be tighter. And production money should be less of a problem. Lucas has got more than Crassus and they'll be able to bend advertisers backward because it's Star Wars. Then there's the inevitable DVD's that'll come.

Maybe that's too narrow, but I really want this to go right.

My hope: Han Solo and Chewbacca, the early years! Even though I know that'll be less broad than they'll probably want it. Or the original schism between the Jedi and the Sith would be interesting to see.

I really don't care which time its set in as long as the story is written well.

I would love to see a decent show come of it. But I dunno that there is a possibility of that.
