What are people's thoughts about this ability if used by the mark? Or the BH for that matter?
At some time, I was thinking about becoming a mark and I wouldn't use it until I know how the others feel about it's use.
Could add some interesting RP. But it could also get boring very quickly so how about allowing it to work only once? Then word gets out and the trick doesn't work again.
Of course if the bounty is dead or alive, and if feign death is used, you can bet that it will be collected by dragging the corpse to the client the next time.

Fd used once is fine in my book. Hell I use it myself as a defence. Nothing wrong with using ALL your abilities, however once is probably the most your gonna get away with.

Isleh touches on a point that does beyond feign death.
As a mark you can easily make it impossible for a hunter to get you. As some point you have to "give up" and fight them.
How to balance this? I don't know. I guess if a mark is proving to be too fesity, the hunters will consider them not worth the trouble and move on to more lucrative prey. Once again, the solution appears to be organic.

Hmmm... It's kinda like an anti Force of Will. While force of will will make the mark have to get up and fight again, feign death will mean the hunter is forced to walk away.Novall wrote:Fd used once is fine in my book. Will it count as a failure on the part of the hunter? I don't think it should in this case but others may see it differently.

From an RP standpoint, it can be used as one of those "He was winged and drug himself into a hospital" things. No It shouldnt mean the BH fails, just that he make sure he knows his mark before he finishes the job.Isleh wrote:Hmmm... It's kinda like an anti Force of Will. RP wise.. If you have feigned death, the hunter would just tie you up. I would think you are either caught or killed at that point.
Or do we say that if the hunter just leaves, it is an Escape and the hunt is still on?

It depends on the requirement for the bounty.
For Example:
If I get beaten in a fight for my current bounty and use feign death, the bounty hunter would scalp me and leave me for dead.
I guess that would mean that I would have to go to an image designer and have them make me bald.
If the client gets wind that I was not actually killed, it could add some interesting rp elements between the client and the hunter.

I actually have no problems with a mark using FD..if you can hit them hard enough and incap them befor they can FD then no worries ive only had a FD problem when its a mind encap and it takes a bit to knock that down
Anyone seen Yellowbeard?Ekade wrote:RP wise.. If you have feigned death, the hunter would just tie you up. I would think you are either caught or killed at that point.

"How's this sire?" *tosses wooden legs over the shoulder and falls over*
I see a feigned death as more complicated than the way it is represented in the game.

My best answer.. Let the RP play it out.
The hunter will assume they killed the Mark, and they will go to collect the money. Perhaps the client pays the hunter and then finds out the Mark still lives. Now there is a whole new bunch of fun things that can take place.
This work for everyone?

Yep... another bounty and maybe a vendetta. It's an interesting option to continue the storyline after the hunt.Ekade wrote:My best answer.. Let the RP play it out.
