Already got mine paid fer, as do a lot of us, but I'll let them post themselves. Pretty sure we had another tread devoted to this, but I can't find it. Can't wait to get my it installed.

Someone in my household was drooling.. both from the football game and from the commercial for Battlefront. I imagine this will be coming soon to a computer near me. :|

Ya' know until I saw that very same commercial down here during the ball game I hadn't thought about it seriously. But you're right. It looks damned good and I'll probably go for it. Got the hook under my jaw on a nylon line!
The scenes that really grabbed me were the Scout Troopers rushing the stairs and the crosshair lining up on the Ewok and blasting it  Someone's got a sense of humor.
Is it multiplayer? Can we all get on together?
Now all I have to do is fix my Dr. Who machine so I can warp enough time-space fabric to play it, Galaxies, Beta test JTL, and not become a cyber-hermit.

it's basically ONLY multiplayer, think battfield;1942/vietnam in star wars universe
I haven't read the specs so I don't know how many per server, but I could guess at max 64 with most running at 32 max, someone correct me if I'm wrong

Hideous laughter and clapping ensued when the Ewok got dusted.

At this point probably not me. I'm almost positive I'd love the game. And that would be the problem - I'd be done with Galaxies then. For some reason I'm a one game kinduv guy. That and I don't have time for more than one.

This discussion just triggered a flashback to a 20+ person Lan larty that took place some months ago in a basement near me.
It was scary.. dead silence, and erie glow of flickering light glancing across pale faces with unblinking eyes.. reflecting off jumbo sized cheeze puff bags and pools of grease sitting atop sausage pizza...
As I drew a breath to laugh, my senses were assaulted by an unholy stench. Perhaps offering hot salsa earlier in the day was not such a good idea.

Multiplayer I hear is not bad. It's not the best for the single player experience from what I understand..

Sadly, most MMFPS games are in the same boat. Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam are useless as single player games but get a good enough group of friends together and multiplayer makes up for it.

I've played 1942 and I liked it ok. I hear vietnam is great. I just want to get this because I think it will be awesome.
Maybe I'll get back into 1942 once the GI Joe mod is done =)
