For those of you who haven't seen it, Saturday Cartoon Network is playing the entire series. (Along with four new episodes of Samurai Jack, says the commercials, apparently.)

This is completely rocking...I would suggest everyone watching these. 7PM-11PM EST I think. Check your local listings.

Agreed. I have a <cough>bootleg<cough> DVD of the first 2 season (20 episodes) and I was impressed. Especially with the second season. The episode with Mace Windu taking on a droid army was excellent. Also the last episode of season 2 gives you a glimpse of what to expect from General Grevious from Episode III.

That sucks, my TV and computer are in two seperate rooms. How can I choose between SWG and that? I've never seen it so getting to see all the episodes would together would be excellent. I hate being indecisive.

You have SWG any time. Clone Wars is not on TV every night. Believe me, I don't say this often: CHOOSE THE TV.

What??? I'm sending you an IM right now, and I think you can guess to the contents of it.

That Mace Windu ep I just happened to turn on when it aired originally, and I was MOPPING THE FLOOR WITH MY JAW.

It's by far my all time favorite ep from that series, and one of my favorite piece of animation of all time. It really conveys the true power of a Master Jedi (vs. say Luke in RotJ, who is really only a Jedi Knight). The hand gestures for the force pushes, the calm one-armed laser deflection once he finally gets his saber back, the giant strides he takes when force running (they really did their homework there) all send chills up the spine just thinking about it.

Yup, that cartoon series is amazing. I watched 'em all when the first aired. I wouldn't suggest playing while watching (except maybe durring commertials), as there's way too much going on in these tiny, action-packed episodes to miss anything.

I just keep going back to 3 hours though. It's very rare I get 3 consecutive hours on SWG. My wife and baby boy are visiting family in Vermont this week so it would be the rare chance for me to actually grind some FS XP for a change.

Does Yoda kick any butt? That could be a key deciding factor.

I echo all that X'an and Gaaralow said. This series deserves your full attention. If you give it what it deserves, it'll give you everything the originals give you. These are extremely well researched and well done. Well animated, they fill in and forward characters and story...as well as giving you a sneak peak. Gives me shivers watching them.

Yoda kicks some serious invisible droid ass while attempting to rescue two Jedi who are trapped in the Jedi caves. It's late in the 2nd season, though.

SET THE VCR!

That's what I'm doing when I get home tonight. In fact, I think I'll stop by Walmart to pick up some tapes too.

I only caught one episode in this series, and that was off a .torrent. I didn't understand that they weren't full halfhour/hour shows. By the time I learned how kick ass they were, it was too late.

DAMMIT!

Here I am plugging a tape in the VCR and turning to Cartoon Network to get the CW on tape, and they're on Chapter 4 already! Why did I rely on 7pm as the start time instead of checking my local listings???

WHY???
