Searching for Imperial Roleplayers

Hey guys,
As some of you may have noticed, I took a small break from the game (and a much larger break from the site) and got a few thoughts in order about my future in the game.
I realized, even though I don't hit the big two RP events as regularly as I'd like to (they're timed bad for my RL), RP is one of the very few things keeping me paying for my accounts every month.
One of the larger problems I have with RP on the server is that when Imperials are needed for a RP event, Nyase or I will be the go to guys and there are really few others. I know Zaph RPs, and last night Keer brought another Imperial RPer to my attention, but still that's 4 and 4 Imperials are not an Empire.
I've been reading through a lot of what I missed on the boards, and I see Sepiv had an event that had to be cancelled due to a lack of Imperial response. I've had to do the same thing in the past, and I know how frustrating it can be. Skara Brae gave me hope for Imperials RPing on the server, but all of that hope has seemingly been dashed from what little else I can find. This is where I need your help.
If ever in the game you run across a roleplaying Imperial, I would ask that you send me an email with that person's name and maybe what was going on. I met Eaglestar last night who looks to be a great Imperial roleplayer, and I only had that happen because Keer sent me a /tell about it. If you see ANY signs of Imperial roleplay, even if it is just a person in uniform, please let me know who they are.
If you all can help me build a database of roleplaying Imperials, I can show you an Empire that you can only imagine.

Doh, you're about 2 weeks too late. I just left the Empire because of that very reason. Good luck to you though. I personally would love the feel the opression.

With you 100% percent there, Tram. For the health of the general game and surely for our roleplay endeavors we've got to get more Imperial presence. The New Order is the bedrock of the entire saga.
Who are the Republic Alliance rebelling against? Who are the criminal fringers afraid of getting busted by? Who are the Palpatine loyalists beholden to? Imperial play's gotta be supported and expanded.
Sorry, I know that
we all know this. Don't want to preach to the choir. But, just in case we have any new or old players that are considering new characters or changes in their present character's alignment then it's something to consider.
For my part, I intend to start scoping for Imperial RP'ers like a hawk and including an appeal for Imperial RP'ers in my RP recruitment pitch. That situation yesterday with Eaglestar Marshall only underlined the reason not to give up. Tramel and I were discussing the lack of Imperial RP'ers not 30 minutes before Keer and Dwilah ran into this guy, Eaglestar.
In the middle of the Lok desert he starts trying to recruit Keer to the Empire. And in a cool Roleplaying style too. After Keer turns him down, leaving the door open for future contact though (at this point I intended telling him about our community, but wanted to let the conversation run it's course) he says in OOC "Gotta run. I'm looking to find an all Roleplay Guild".

I said , "Man, we gotta talk." That's when I called Tramel back.
What a great experience. Out of the blue and a short time after lamenting it in /tells an good Imperial roleplayer falls into our lap.
Keep your eyes open. Before the day is over, I'll be posting on the SOE Gorath and Roleplay Forums with this in mind. And I'll keep bumping it 'til the CSR's say "stop".

Tramel,
I have bumped into a handful of "amateur" Imperial roleplayers.
What they needed was someone show them how it is done.

Someone to lead them... Perhaps a Colonel.
If you are planning on being an active presence, I will send them your way.
I have always said that Gorath needs a dedicated Stormtrooper guild.

I tried. I really tried. I even killed off one of my alts to make a dedicated stormtrooper. But I found the overall lack of support, disturbing.
I would really love to see you pull this off. If I could afford a third account I would have an imperial stormtrooper. But as it is I have grown too attached to my current characters. Hell I even had to figure out a way to ressurect Arifo because I missed her so much.

Boo YOWWW!
Okay, everyone go to this link from SOE SWG Roleplay Forum!
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/boar ... e.id=28809
And my post here:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/boar ... 818#M28818
This is surreal. I just saw this post on their forums after having the idea to contact them. I just had this idea not 2-3 hours ago about contacting the 501st to help out Imperial RP on Gorath and ot was literally at the top of the Roleplay Forum! This after having a good RP'er drop out of the blue yesterday 20 mintues after talking to Tramel.
We need to get these guys to make Imperial Troopers/Officers on Gorath.
Everybody give one PM or post to the guy on the SOE SWG Roleplay Forum (hopefully less rabid than mine  ). They are already on Starsider and Sunrunner. Let's show 'em that
Vader's Fist needs to make a stop in the Gorath galaxy!
They won't even have to necessarily transfer, just make characters on Gorath.

Ok, i can only come up with some guilds that are (role)playing imps, as far as i know, though some of them are german or european it still may be of some use :-D
<ND> New-Devourer - Based on Lok in Devouron, don't know how active they are
<in'eX> in'eXora - see some of them around all the time i am on
<ISF> Imperial Special Force- like in'eX i see the guild tag every now and then, so they should be playing
<DS> Darkstalker - very active imperial guild, based in Neo-Midian on Talus. Good roleplayers and the leadership should have contacts to a lot of imperial roleplayers.
If you would be interested to not only coordinate imperial events with american players but also european (well, mostly german) ones i would recommend talking to someone from the leadership of DS, they may be best suited to spread any news.

I've tried to get in contact with both ND and DS on a couple of occassions (namely for the event I had planned), but I never heard anything from them. I remember ND from the Mos Eisley events. I've tried to look through the screenshots of those battles to get an idea of who would be up for Imperial roleplay.

/sigh...
It is a dark time for the SWG Empire....
Just checked my email and this is what I got from the Imperial Roleplaying group that I've been corresponding with.
Hey, Smug_Druggler!
I'm sorry to say that we'll have to stick to Starsider. The guild voted against the move due to the amount of lag we were getting. Sorry amigo.
Aww shucks! Looks like the struggle continues. Damned lag. But, I shall fight on!

To whom from DS did you try to get contact? Shaynah would be the person you would like to contact for such talks as far as i know

Just remember, the pirates living in Nocturnus do not like imperial intervention...

I'm starting to lean towards an Imperial persona...perhaps when the Times comes back making it an Imperial paper. Reason being?
Too many Rebels on Gorath.
I chose to be Rebel because too many toons were choosing to be Imperial. Now that the balance seems to have swayed, I may be visiting my local Imperial recruiter. 8-)

Too many toons were choosing Imperial? What server were you playing on? I've seen essentially nothing but rebs since about 2nd week in game.

I agree with Nyase. I've always thought that the server was predominantly rebel, but that could be because that's what I'm always fighting against. It's kind of like how you never realize how many Dodge trucks are out there until you buy one and notice them more.
Y'know Ringo, I had an idea for an "Imperial Takeover" of the Gorath Times for one issue, but with the mail nerf and the "general lack of drive from Tramel" nerf, it may never get around to happening.
