Does anyone know how to turn a color image into a black and white one? I've been trying to do this for 20mins and I can't figure out how.

What'r you using?

If you have PS.. just change the image mode to grayscale...

MS Paint can't do this.. it literally changes the coler to either black, or white, and F's it all up..

What Lok'i said.

Also, if you just want to turn part of an image black and white and not the entire mode of your pic in PS hit Ctrl + U and bring up the Hue/Saturation box. Move the Saturation slider all the way to the left and you get a nice clean change to Black & White.

Yeah you can do that too...

Also If you don't have PS, and want a very good *>FREE<* Image editing program with alot of the same tools that PS has you can get the GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program)

http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/gimp/stable.html

You must install GTK2+ as well (it's on the site) the program is dependant upon it.

their is also an animation package and help file their...

I have Photoshop CS 8, and I remember last night trying to go to grayscale and it not working. I'll give it another shot tonight.

On the top menu, it's just Image/Mode/Grayscale.

If you have multiple layers open, that could throw it off a bit.

Yeah, I ended up figuring it out. It wasn't working because I was working with multiple layers.

If you don't already have em... Seret posted a link to where you can get SW fonts. It's somewhere in this "pile of information". :D
