Scum and Villany Night @ Lucky Despot Cantina, Mos Eisley
Hello everyone, I really enjoyed the event last night. For those that are confused about Xera's behavior, I'll try to clear it up a bit. After Jaminos and Rei'anna's wedding, Ceka and Kayana expressed their feelings to each other, and decided to break off their marriage. Ceka accused Kayana of cheating on him, but I don't know if it's true or not...but Kayana did throw her wedding ring to Ceka and told him it was over. Immediately following the argument, Kirt appeared and confronted Ceka to collect his bounty.
Anyways, this event made Xera remember the tragic events of his childhood when his own parents decided to separate. The separation was caused by Xera's father wanting to keep Xera, but his mother was more interested in selling him into slavery. But before they went through with it, they disappeared when they said they were going to check their wind generators on Ryloth's surface. Xera suspects that they did separate, and went on their own ways and left Xera to fend for himself down in the Ryl mines. It had been 21 years since his parents left him, and seeing the events of Ceka and Kayana only made his anger towards his parents greater.
Xera then went back to Jaminos and Rei'anna reception, where he expressed his feelings with Ekade who was also there. Ekade was kind and caring, helping Xera to release some of his anger towards his parents, but apparently he had other issues as well. Xera was still having problems with his own wife, Reyana, since she was constantly returning to Ryloth to take care of her father who was ill from the misuse of spices. Xera hadn't seen her for almost 3 months, and was beginning to suffer the consequences of being alone for too long. Xera expressed his feelings about Reyana also, and Ekade tried to convince him that his problems will work themselves out. After Ekade left the reception for the night, Xera went home to collect his thoughts. He decided that the next day he would go to the Krayt Graveyard on Tatooine to take his anger out on some banthas. While he was there, he met Lirana, a young female Twi'lek that took some interest in him while fighting the banthas. The 2 of them talked for a while, and Xera invited Lirana to come with him to the Lucky Despot.
While there, Lirana asked Xera to dance with her, but Xera refused to do so, since his wife obviously wouldn't approve of him dancing with another Twi'Lek. Lirana became angry at him when he told her he was married, and that he was wrong to invite her to the cantina which she must have taken as a dating opportunity. Furious, she slapped Xera in the face, and Xera returned a blow to her out of pure reflex and anger. The fight went on, and Xera eventually knocked her to the ground. Xera felt that it was over, but Lirana did not. She then pulled out her polearm and attacked Xera once again. When she came at him, Xera unholstered his pistol and shot her in the leg, bringing her down once again. At that very moment, Reyana appeared in the cantina. Reyana, the curious being she is, questioned Xera of why Lirana was at his feet. Xera tried to explain, and he told her he was wrong to invite Lirana to come with him to the cantina. Reyana quickly thought that Xera was cheating on her with this other female after hearing about what Ceka and Kayana did. After a short discussion, Reyana removed her ring and placed it on the table in front of him, and told him that she could no longer trust him to be her husband.
Xera was astounded at how quickly the life he had fell apart as he sat there. Xera felt he could no longer function from his mistakes. Confused and angry, he went over to Lirana and told her that he was sorry for his behavior. She told him it was alright, but Xera suddenly snapped, removing the blame from himself and placing it on Lirana instead. Xera then told her that he should have killed her when he had the chance. Xera then left the Lucky Despot to regain some composure. Lirana made the decision to follow him out. She taunted Xera to kill her, and Xera raised his pistol and took several shots at her, and then she attempted to have Xera stop. Xera stood there shaking, not knowing how to act after he had seen what he had done to her. Once again, Reyana's decision to leave him stood out in his mind, and he took a final shot and knocked Lirana out to be taken to the nearest medical center.
Kayana, who was also witnessing and provoking the fight, offered Xera a chance to join her in the path of evil and corruption. Apparently, Kayana was also suffering the same anger from her experience with Ceka last night. Xera distraught after his actions, made the unwise decision to join her. Novall Talon, Xera's superior, tried to stop Kayana from corrupting Xera with some physical provocation. His efforts somewhat failed, as he disabled Kayana for a short time. Novall then came to Xera, and tried to convince him not to follow her. Xera felt his blood boil within him after seeing Kayana laying on the desert sand. Xera tried to kill Novall, but Xera was also subdued. Novall didn't attempt to kill either of them, but instead returned to his wife, Chalithra, to comfort her after witnessing such a tragic event. After recovering, Xera and Kayana went to Strafae, where he offered to teach them the ways of the dark side of the Force if they wished it. Kayana and Xera both accepted and were soon to be trained. But Xera is still suffering from his great loss, and he has the strong urge to just have his old life back more than anything else....

Man.. I need to catch my breath... and I thought I had it bad
Don't fall victim to the dark side or to Strafae. I would hate to be forced to kill you one day

Excellent recap and very interesting story! I see many rich RP possibilities here. Nicely done!
Xera needs to have himself a conversation with a Priestess ASAP.
Of course, Ekade has not been able to help Novall.. well all she can do is try.
