On a side note:

REX GROSSMAN LOVES NITROUS!

Honestly though, that really sucks about Rex. Especially since the backup situation is real bad. Johnathin Quinn and Craig Krenzel aren't exactly "insurance policies".
Best of luck to his recovery and future with the Bears.

Well, this is officially a "building" season. Before they announced it, I was still seeing the Bears for a safe 8-8, maybe 9-7 for a playoff wild card.

You mean like every season since '88?

the real sad part is you could see flashes of "greatness" in the first couple games, that if they could gel a lil more and bring it together it was gonna be awesome...and I don't say this like some no-nothing, bears-always-will-rock, kinda guy but from someone who pays attention and can criticize when things are going wrong...(I had the fuckshoop.com website bookmarked for the longest time, lol)

I know, but the sad part is the Bears show the "greatness" flash at the beginning of every season. I remember when they went 10-3 and someone bet me $100 they wouldn't get past Philly in the playoffs. Out of every bet I'd ever made, that one was the most heartbreaking to pay.

Ah well guys, it could always be worse. We could be Cubs fans.

Bears signed QB Chad Hutchinson, the guy who instead of playing football, went to play baseball, then came back to football and played with the cowboys for 10 games

I'm... so... sorry. One should only be allowed so much heartbreak in a lifetime.

Y'know, I was visiting a friend in Lincoln Park during the playoffs last year. I'm sitting on her couch talking to her about why the Cubs going to the World Series would be so important to Chicago. I saw the Bartman thing happen and I said to her "If the Cubs manage to somehow lose this game, it'll be blamed on him and he'll be the most hated guy in Chicago sports history."

At times I feel sad for him, because you can clearly see from the replay that it wasn't just him; the three other people around him were *also* trying to catch the ball. If it wasn't him, it surely would have been the guy or girl next to him.

What I don't understand is WHY they were trying to catch the ball. I was sitting at home screaming at the fans in the stadium (to no avail, I might add) to LET ALOU CATCH THE BALL. It was obvious he wanted to make a play on it. If only Bartman had held everyone else back instead of trying to catch the ball. He would have been a hero. Chicago would have won that game and been on to the World Series. ARGH.
