Kill Bill Vol. 1

Ok, I saw Kill Bill Vol. 1 for the first time earlier this week and I can't quite express my reaction to it. However I have to say I've had that stupid song that nurse whistles when going to kill her in the hospital stuck in my head ever since. It's just so catchy.

Is Vol. 2 going to answer all my questions? And is it worth seeing? Or should I just let the whole thing go and reside myself to never knowing for the sake of my sanity.

I loved both movies...but I'm a fan of the genre that they are an homage to. So, I'd say watch part 2 and then decide for yourself. People either hate those movies or love them passionately.

You need to watch them before you get outside opinions...because that WILL make the difference between you hating or loving the films.

I'm pretty much in the same camp as Zan.

The only thing I'll add is that I loved Vol. 2 for different reasons than Vol. 1.

I watch Vol I. Drunk and I thought it sucked. Come on if a movie isn't good enough to watch drunk is it good enough to watch it sober?

Not true. I remember being drunk with an ex-girlfriend and sitting down to watch Momento. About 15 minutes into the movie I turned it off and declared "This may be the greatest movie ever filmed. I'm going to have to watch this sober."

Same thing with Blair Witch. Had I watched that movie drunk, I probably would have joined the "hated it" crowd.

Volume 1 to me was a good action flick with that Tartentino quality to it.

Its Volume 2 I loved, because it brings everything to a head, has some great dialgue (especially between the Bride and Bill) and just comes off to me as a great film.

So as Tarantino intended it as one movie and not two (that was the studio's idea) put them together and you have a great film.
