Another Newcomer

After training only an hour in the initial skills neccesary for a scout to survive at any given distance, I found myself strangely attracted to the city of Nocturnus. Armed with only a small blaster and a healthy sense of determination I used my only ticket to go to Lok. In my journey to Nocturnus, I was ambushed by raiders, attacked by large bear-like creatures, and while I was lying incapacitated on the ground I realized that Lok was far too hostile a space for a rookie like myself.

Nevertheless, after a long and perilous journey I made it. And as such, I would also like to introduce myself.

I'm Tom, but on the forums and in-game I go by the name of 'Kenyon'. I've been a roleplayer for a little over seven years now, and I'm new to the realm of Star Wars Galaxies. I immediately travelled to your illustrious village, and I'm eager to start my own adventure.

You don't have to be a kick butt character to have fun with us/RP with us/ just have fun in general with SWG.

I myself suck butt as a go kill stuff kinda guy, but I enjoy RP'ing more than killing crap anyway.
Lok is harsh but after a while you get used to it and just run away from the stuff you know you can't handle.

You should join us at one of our RP events (usually posted on the calendar at the top of the page... they should be up their soon /taps Ekade)

Welcome to Gorath and more importantly SWGTales. You'll quickly notice that here we work to try to foster more of a roleplay enviroment moreso than the "I pwnorz your face!" enviroment of the SOE forums. I'm a little curious, just like Ekade. How'd you find your way to our slice of the internet?

Either way, welcome and I hope you enjoy. We're always glad to have more roleplayers around. Nocturnus is a great place to start.

One small word of advice before I go. You may here about a small group of individuals who are "unhappy" with their situations in our vast and glorious Empire. These treasonous individuals are looking to do nothing more than sow the seeds of hate and discord throughout this galaxy wide Empire which will easily stand for a thousand years. They are no good to anyone and believe in nothing. They are on a downward spiral and only looking to drag other productive citizens down with them. They will tell you any lie to get you to seal your fate along with theirs.

Do not trust them.

Instead, humor them, but remember who they are. Report their names to your local Imperial representative.

Not everyone. But I do think it makes perfect sense for roleplayers to gather together into communities. It makes things easier, and more fun.
