I was there too. It was madness. I was under the impression that it was a CSR-run event or something, because most of the firefight were NPCs and I was getting system messages on my screen about Imperial shuttles trying to take off and "The Rebel forces have almost made it to the escape pod." and such. Craziness.

I just ran like hell. All I wanted was some furniture! Aiieeee!!

Raid on coronet? I've not heard of one of those since about 2nd month after launch. Seemed we were too busy defending theed/raiding moenia then. Ah, what I would've given to have laged there as welll.....

Are things like this advertised after the fact? If so, where? I can understand not broadcasting it beforehand, but I sure would like to know what it was about.

When I tell my non-RP buddies about the Nutrinous/X'an showdown at the Lucky Despot with the Battle Droids they just drool. "What?! Aww, mannn. I missed it?"

Did you recognize/remember any names so I can harrass them with questions?

Yeah, there are at least a coupe threads in the SOE Gorath forum of people saying they appreciated the event, but think the choice of locale was rather undesirable because of the amazing lag.

I guess though, it's a no-win situation for the devs. They want people to be involved, but if they tell us ahead of time, so many people will show up that the server will crash. If they do it spontaneously, it needs to be in an area where people actually are, so they can get involved. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

If a dev event falls in Deeja Peak, does it make a sound?

Good point.

This thread is the first I heard of any such event. Coronet of all places.. how dreadful.

I cringe when I think how out of touch they are with the community. With enough hype, you can get hundreds at an event (not that would want to with the lag an all).
