After skimming some news articles I stumbled on this one. Apparently a rancor got loose in the congressional building and I can only assume the worst.

If anything, the Rancor would be the one watching it's back.Jabe Adaks wrote: A rancor has eaten the US Congress... Apparently a rancor got loose in the congressional building and I can only assume the worst.

When you can vote your own pay raise, I guess you can torpedo any overtime as well. :lol:Jabe Adaks wrote:My favorite part was "Much work left undone".

Seriously I wonder if that term "rancorous" is a word made up indirectly influenced by the impact the whole Star Wars theme has made on our society. Or was "rancorous" there first and they just used the short version of it for the monster in the movies.
Amazing how some movie themes have such an impact that many aspects have been integrated into society. I think it was Star Trek, though, that did the opposite, back in the original series, where many episodes would kind of mirror and sometimes poke fun at real life society in the 60s, such as racism and just kind of highlight how stupid and superficial it is.
Just some thoughts.

Leave it to Grammar Officer Dooo to spoil the fun. I was perfectly happy thinking a Rancor ate congress but now I have to face the facts... that article is boring as hell.
