So I went to the DC101 Chili Cookoff this weekend... ( DC101 is a rock radio station here in the DC area... www.dc101.com )

So anyway, I thought it may be just an eh, its ok kinda time cause the bands on the list werent all that great to me... I mean here they are...

The Speaks (Local DC band), Cake, Switchfoot, Thousand Foot Krutch, Jimmy Eat World, Chevelle, and the Donnas...

Jimmy Eat World was the best show... they were awesome. I don't generally listen to my music, but they know how to perfrom...

Anyway the coolest thing happened while I was their amongst the rest of the mosh pit...

This guy did this two more times throught the night! It was freakin awesome! I am actually in the Video with my wife, the person with the camera was behind us, but all you can see is our black hoodies.. and her takin a picture of the dude in the wheelchair...

Anyway, it ended up being a good time, and I would go back next year..

Ha thats pretty awesome. I'm a big fan of Cake and I dig a lot of Jimmy Eat World stuff, especially the song they're playing in that video (Sweetness).

Bah, I can't get it to work.

If it's one thing I love almost as much as a Rib Cook Off it's a Chili Cook Off! My Dad's "Football Chili" is against the law!

Throw in a couple sweet potato pies and a cold glass of milk and I'm euphoric.

eh'... soso... I had one guy's chili that was buffalo chili or somethig... I wasn't planning on drinking but beer was the only thing they had their that took the heat away ;)

and yeah.. Jimmy Eat World Roked the hell out of the show and that song and their newest one that is on the radio on the time were best two songs played all night, it was a hell of alot of fun...

oh and update... that dude in the wheelchair called the morning show on that station this morning... he was talking about how he had a good time and after the first time he had to do it again, then Elliot (the dude from the show) asked him how he got in the chair... His ex-best friend shot him with his dad's gun when he was 16!!!
