I was in Nocturnus for about 4 hours last night...in that time, I saw 4 Probots looking for people to shake down for contraband. At one point, I got scanned 5 times between my factory on the North side of town and the Trade Outpost...and it was the same Probot that scanned me all 5 times. My total count for scans last night was 16, which is more than I've been scanned since the Imperial Crackdown patch. And they were taking FOREVER to complete the scan. They never found anything, but it got really old when the one kept scanning me every 10 feet. Before last night, I had only been scanned for contraband a total of 4 times!!

WOW!!! That sounds really cool. I have never seen one of these mythical probots. For some reason, the Empire prefers to search me by hand. KIDDING. =P

I'd love to see more of this. I always say that I want to feel the oppression of the Empire. I want to be scared at times.

The "Crackdown" did get me once in Kor Vella. A stormtrooper approached me and tripped and fell into my gaffi. He fell into it a few times actually and unfortunately died. The other stormtroopers in the area attacked me for some reason and I ended up in the cloning center.

Even I sometimes get searched but then I put the Stormtrooper in his place and he apologizes for his insabordination

One of the tin cans actually followed me into the city hall and scanned me in there!!

These tin cans need to be eradicated. If they're in town, let's take them out.

Also, last night I saw about 4 aggro'd Droidekas (not associated with Nym's) out by the Speeder Garage. They poofed after I ran back into town and came back out, thank god, because they were *just* in range to aggro on whoever was going to drop Keer's house.

The Probots have been all over since the Crackdown. I've been scanned once on Yavin and twice right outside of town by them. I always destroy them after they finish they scan, just to stay in character. I know Lok'i got scanned by one of them last night as well. The nasty little things need to get wiped out.

The aggro Droideka spawns are popping up more and more now. For several nights (not consecutively) there have been spawns outside of town. I just love pulling a knockdown on them, they fall apart and then go back together again.

Yes I was and I was pretty worried considering I have a Sliced DXR-6b Rifle, but it didn't find it.

I couldn't destroy it as I am not leveled up enough to take care of it :P

I doubt you'll get busted for just one item of contraband.

The scans were really designed to catch the players who have a full armor suit sliced, 5 sliced weapons, and are carrying 2 cases of spice on them.

Granted, those players are uber PvPers who can kill 6 Stormtroopers, so it's really become a bit pointless other than the "immersion" factor.

Lok'i is mistaken. He has a sliced T-21, a sliced DXR-6, a sliced SG82, and a sliced Jawa Ion Rifle in his inventory if he still has all the rifles I gave him. He's a walking ball of contraband hell!

I honestly think the scans dont do anything. I carry 2 sets of sliced armor, 2 sliced psg's, about oh 10-15 sliced weapons a crate of pixie and a creat of moun. and no stormtrooper has ever found anything on me, even if I dont slap the hell out of them.

I used to pass through Espa a lot. As a Rebel I got found out a Rebel a few times. That can suck.

As an Imp I got scanned and fined for contraband once. I've only been scanned 3 times as an Imp though.

If you're an Imp, especially a high ranking Imp, they'll just salute you as a "fine citizen of the Empire" and leave you alone.

See I didn't know this, I never examed thim I just knew I had a sliced DXR-6b cause it says so in the name.

Maybe we should go destroy some probots tonight.
