Once again continuity is sacrificed

I remember the first time that I saw The Kreetles play in the Crazy Roba back in April.

I had Keer shout out "JIZZ FOREVER!" and "LONG LIVE JIZZ!"

(To many that might not remember Jizz is the prevailing form of music in this time in Star Wars. It has been quoted in several official SW sources.).

I remember I made a few people there break character that night, when I reminded them, they all said "Damn, you're right!"

One of my top game experiences all time

Wow, "george lucas" in the same list and most of the names I used to describe him after I saw Episodes I and II. Curiouser and Curiouser. :D

I never have the filter turned on.. but for younger people its not a bad thing it exists. Not that I think they wont hear it anywhere else or need to be cuddled but as long as they dont think its normal to speak in puns and cussing rather than good beautiful english.

Y'know, after watching all 5 SW movies over a weekend with my girlfriend, I have to say that I'm actually developing an appreciation for Ep 1 and 2. Sure, there were a lot of bad moves (killing Darth Maul, Jango Fett, "Around the survivors a perimeter create," etc), but overall the movies were actually not that bad. The acting was better in a lot of parts and the story was more concrete.

I gotta agree with Raggs here; when 3 comes out, I'm sure the story will be more complete, and the transition will seem a lot smoother. As long as no one says "You don't want to sell me death sticks" in this one, I'll find it to at least be a B+ movie.

A agree, and I think people get confused about who Lucas was directing this movie towards. Sure he wanted to appeal to the fans of 4,5,6, but he also wanted to make 1&2 a move that younger kids would enjoy too. Sure the storyline may not be totally picked up by children or preteens, but Jar Jar, 3P0, and Anakin are the best characters in the movie to them. Sure we may all say that 4,5,6 are lighyears better than 1&2, but show all five to a 10 year old, and he'll think you're crazy.

Us "older" folks like SW because it was cool, not because it was geared for little kiddies our age. It captured our imagination. The movie did not need kids or ridiculously lame characters to do that.

My daughter (4yrs old) has seen episode 4 twice now. We are still debating whether or not to show her the prequels.

Catering to youngsters does not mean making a film that adults dislike.

Finding Nemo (or anything by Pixar)
Harry Potter
LOTR
Spiderman
X-Men
Juassic Park
Star Wars before 1997

Kids are smart. There's no need to dumb it down.

In principal, I agree, but in some cases the producers even want to go after the 5, 6, 7 year old "movie time" market.

In that case it gets dumbed down to Jar Jar Town.
