Just FYI Skarr, to pilot the Decimator or the Reb Freighter listed, you have to be MASTER PILOT.

It's going to take awhile.

From the Decimator's write up...

a ship built to out-fight anything it can't outrun, and outrun anything it can't outfight

If that isn't the best qualification for a smuggler ship! Versatile cargo space too.

The Decimator sounds great, but the Nova Courier's checkered past has won my heart :lol: I like it's looks and it'll fit a smuggler better RP-wise. Hopefully it can be modded enough to fulfill that quote's qualification. If so, then I've found my Freight Skate!!

Congrats to SOE on all of those write-ups. Good background on all of the models. Fun play inspiring stuff.

That's going to be a sticky one for me, Dwi. The main motivator behind it is the desire to NOT have a YT-1300. I want as much individuality as I can get and this whole time I've been hoping for a Privateer multi-player transport/freighter other than the YT-1300.

Not whining here, all of these ships look and sound great (/hi5 to SOE), but my poor wittle RP heart wants a ship that would really fit.

Will I go as far as Rebel Pilot to get it? Still on the fence on that one. Guess I better make up my mind quick, huh?

Yup. Honestly I'm on the fence myself. Dwilah's main transport in stories has been a run down luxury yacht, and so she's wide open for a fighter. I'd love to have an A-Wing...but will I be able to board and ride YTs of my neutral friends if I'm a Rebel pilot? And I think many of Dwilah's buddies are going to be Neutral.

And aaactually. An edit here. Not sure but I think you might have to be a certain rank in Rebel to get the freighter because of the description on the main JtL website. It describes it as "for ambitious Rebel officers" or something.

Open source JtL info seems to indicate that you can board a Neutral ship as pax (passenger).

Honestly don't see why that wouldn't be the case. Neutral players can Trade with Rebs and Imps. This shouldn't be a problem.

Anyway it has to be! I've got my screen shot keys all warmed up for when I'm dodging asteroids and you're in the seat gasping "Closer?!!" C-3PO-style. :lol:

Hmm, well still an option. If it also takes Master Pilot to get the thing then I'll have plenty of time to amp up my rank.

And this may be my big chance to get in on the Faction Point sales game for my surplus points. ;)
