ship textures

i tried one of the ship texture kits, but it doesn't look any different...I went to use another and i can't see the change (if there is one) before it's permanent, like when you paint it...

anyone know how these work, or what the textures look like for the 6 different types?

You have to paint it after you texture it to see a difference? Some of them are very subtle.

Texture is sort of decieving word. What they really mean is pattern. After you apply a texture kit apply a color kit like Dwilah says. Then you'll see the marking change.

ahhh, and i think I applied #1 which is exactly what I have, duh...

but I do like the color scheme now...wish there were some pics of the scemes...something like in a manual, oh wait nm...

Gonna try and put together an online guide to ships with the different styles and texture schems. Might take a while though. If any of you have ships and you know the scheme you applied send me pics with the ship chassis type and texture kit number. Thanks!
