Personally, I bought it, played it for about 3 hours and got bored of it. To me, it's just more of the same...it just looks a little prettier than the last Grand Theft Auto...and they added the feature of having to do nice things for your girfriend in order to get laid...big whoop.

I was in the video store a couple of days ago and there was this woman there with her maybe 7 year old kid. They were looking for playstation games. She asked the lady about the game "Grand Theft Auto" the lady said it wasn't in, then she said "I'm not sure about a game with a name like that."

Then a few minutes later, the lady walks over to her kid and says "Hey, how about this game? Finding Nemo?

I thought it was hilarious.

On another note, I never got into the GTA 3 that much. I thought it was novel, but no real big deal. I LOVED Vice City, just because of all the hidden jokes in it about the 80s. I think if you're a 16 year old kid, you can't appreciate the game half as much as a 25 year old. It's like when I saw Blazing Saddles as a kid. I thought it was funny. Then I saw it when I was 19, realized I didn't get ANY of the jokes before, and thought it was hilarious.

(Flashes back to 1989, watching Blazing Saddles with his dad.)

"Is it twue what they say about... you people? Oh, it's twue. It's twue! IT'S TWUE!"
/dad laughing
/me laughing thinking "She talks like Elmer Fudd."

Because of the cheesy 80s factor, I don't think San Andreas will be nearly as good.

Its the newest GTA game. I bought it cause I been waiting for it forever and am honestly not as impressed with it as I hoped. Its way too ghetto for me. I like GTA's that were more mob related. None of this crap with riding bicycles and that. Plus its so outright vulgar I can't hardly play it unless nobody is home.

I'm soooooo in the minority about GTA:SA.

I mean, I played GTAII. I played GTAIII 'till I finished the main storyline. I played Vice City 'till I realized that all I really cared to do anymore with the game was ride a motorcycle around the world doing only wheelies.

Combined playtime between the three games up there is probably over 100 hours.

Honestly, I'm BURNT. SA doesn't offer me anything that I haven't already experienced. I'm tired of running over grandma's on the sidewalk just because I can. I've done the prostitutes. Then killed them and took my money back. I've been a Taxi driver, an Ambulance driver, a Fireman, a Cop. I've done the hidden jumps, the hidden tokenes, ET ALL.

Now I get to be a thug in a crime-ridden slum in a game that takes 75 hours to finish? Uh, no thanks.

I'm done. I'm bored to tears with it as a series, but that's just me.

Your mileage may vary.

X'an you wrapped it up best. Plus its the setting that sucks, its the 'hood. Ain't nothing worth stealing in this game.

I actually like the game, vulgarity aside. Its probaby because I didn't get Vice City (you don't want to know the reason behind that!) or play it at all. Three was fun, and the first two (including the British version) were a riot. The novelty still hasn't worn off for me and for 60 dollars Canadian, I can't think of many games that I'd rather play (hurry up GT4).

Its still a great game as they've added much more content than many of you would believe. Sure the structure of the game is the same, but the little bits of new content and storyline are enough to suck me in.

The missions are so unique this time around; nothing was better than being on the back of a getaway motorcycle facing and shooting at Russians on motorbikes, in cars, and in transport trucks while your driver speeds through the city. Things like that keep reminding me why I love this series.

That made me wonder, why do people refer to you as being 'in' a car, but 'on' a bus? I don't get it.
