Decay?

I hear everyone talking about decay. It doesn't seem that any of my equipment has decayed even after being destroyed numerous times. Is there something I'm missing here? Is there a way to check this?

Do you mean ship equipment taking decay? I know that if you repair a ship part with a SW repair kit, it will take decay just like a weapon does.

I have noticed some significant decay on my equipment after being blowed up.

My armor plating had matching armor and HP when I first installed it, and now the armor is about 30% less than the hitpoints.

ouch. I have been repairing everything at the spaceports. I hadn't noticed decay. I will have to look into it further.
