If there was an in-game RP event that pitted us all against eachother in space, would you all be interested in it. It would end with a very large PvP space battle like the end of RotJ.

I have a very ambitious RP story arch idea that I'd love to do, but it would require the RP Imps to fight as a team, the RP Rebels to fight as a team, and the RP pirates to fight as a team. Leading up to it, there would be a lot of faction and pirate based action on the ground and in space.

I just don't want to plan something and then get everyone pissed that they got into a fight in a RP event that involved PvP and their ship got busted up.

I would have no problem with it. One thing you have to understand is that JtL is 100% combat based, so almost everything you do in space is related to combat in one form or another. Besides, I'm sure we all have more than enough to repair our ships.

Then again, I could just be saying this because I haven't lost a space PvP battle yet...

Good luck getting Imps in to space. I have been trying to recruit some Imperial pilots for my event for the last 10 days and I got 1 response. I guess it is an army of one...

I suspect there are many more privateers around here than reb and imp combined.. But for RP purposes, I guess that does not matter. I don't mind losing if it makes for a good story.

I didn't intend it to be a JtL only discussion. That's why I put it in there. I was trying to get other feedback as well without asking for it.

Anyway, the sides that would be fielding small teams for the event would get NPC and Dev help.

I am dizzity down. My meager 2221 pilot skills and my trust Kihraxz fighter "Lok Jaw II" (named after the demise of my scyk fighter "Lok Jaw I" shall be down for the privatest of privateers. While my ground character is a covert imp, that is only for the factional loot. Will this be a problem?

I'm game...though I'm curious if the factionality is required to be IC. Dwilah's not flying for the Alliance IC...though I could come up with a reason for her to in a pinch. She had Alliance ties before, why not again?

I'm game, although frankly I'm rather low on the totem poll of skills. I would've replied to your post Jabe, but as I said, rather low. That, and I've been feeling sick and I thought it was too late to reply when I finally got a ship.

In terms of faction, your involvement in the space battle would be totally determined by how you RP your characters. If you are a Rebel, then you would have a goal for the Rebellion. If you're an Imperial, the Imperials would have their own goal. If you're a pirate, then you'd have a pirate goal. I'd organize this in a PvP zone so that everyone was attackable. The only disadvantage that people who were Rebel Rping as pirates or Imp RPing as pirates would be that they would not be able to attack other players that were the same faction, if needed.

As for skills, it skill level would not matter because there would/will be both NPC targets and PC targets which would vary in difficulty...I'd make it so that even a novice pilot could partake and have a good time. Plus, it would not be 100% in space, only the climatic battle would be.
