Droid cards?

Okay, here is a question for the board. I'm still a JTL noob so forgive this question. How does one go about getting programmed droid cards. Apparently these cards give special commands to your ships and cards programmed with other factions special commands can be obtained. A few questions...

1. How does one obtain these special cards?

2. Does anyone have cards with the other factions commands on them?

3. How does it all work?

I got news for you, Illbleed my good ole buddy. We are ALL JtL noobs whether we played Beta or not.

All I can tell you is Droid Engineers like our ole pal Dooo make the disks. I think he's stocked some on his vendor in the Nocturnus trading post but I'm not positive about that.

The commands are inputed by you into the disk. How? I do not know I have not personally used them. I'll let someone else field that.

I have been told that the disks are not re-programable. Once you program them with commands thats it. If you want to program more commands you have to get another disk.

I hope that helps you somewhat if at all.

Good to know that ships come equipped with only a 16x CD-R for onboard memory ;D

This is the scoop.

1) Buy an unprogrammed data disk from a droid engineer

2) Select it in your inventory and pick the command that's after destroy (program chip or something like that)

3) Select what program you want to put on that chip (these chips are not reprogramable, but DEs sell them cheap)

4) After the chip is programmed, open the radial again to transfer the chip to your datapad

5) From a DE, obtain a flightcomp/astromech and put it in your datapad via the radial command

6) open your datapad, and open the flightcomp/astromech memory

7) drag the datadisks in there, programing the droid

8) Load that astromech/flightcomp into your ship, along with a droid interface

9) Enter space, use Ctrl-A, and in the Astromech tab, you should see the commands that you programmed

Yala (neutral) tested some of my (rebel) droid commands on her flight computer. She said they worked.

Slick. Yet another degree of ship hot rodding available to pilots. This is like Honda's after-market auto upgrade industry.

"Hey, you got that Imperial Engine Overload 4?"
"Nahh,....but I got that bootleg, kid! Ha-haaa!"

I wonder if the non-Faction droid commands are stackable with the ones you have "legally"?

This ability makes me want to try out Privateer Reactor Overload, drop the clutch with Imperial Engine Overload, then kick in the "nitrous" by Boosting! Yeeeee-owwwhhn!

(Down here in the South Florida street racing scene, facelift surgery is being replaced by taking a ride in a street rod and letting inertia pull loose skin back  )

I guess it's time for me to get some shield modifying commands programmed into my droid then.

Ugh.. I knew I should not have posted that bit of information lest it fall into imperial hands. :D

I do have the blank floppies for sale cheap in Noc, singley and by the crate. As far as flight computers vs. astromechs I'm only making master level astromechs unless someone does some serious begging. Until master all the lower level ones would only be temporary and not worth the effort. Get a flight computer till you hit master, then I'll make y'all some tricked out astros.

BTW I'm selling levels 3-6 computers for 5K each and programmable disks for 2500 each. If anyone needs lvl 2 or 1 comps lemme know.

Tonight I am going to set up a vendor in the Nocturnus Outlet Tent by the shuttleport to sell Droid Data Disks. All other computers and droids will be for sale on the Doootronics vendor in the Trading Post.

So if ya need 'em there's an easily accessible way to get 'em in Noct.

Who loves ya baby? Thats right... Zanjet does.

LOL.. don't assume Rebels and Neutrals will be allowed to get to Master Pilot. Some of us may be stuck on level 4 droids for a while. :D

Don't let him fool you. He keeps pushing his 5.25" Droid floppies but everyone knows the 3.5" floppies are the cutting edge technology now. :)
