Halo 2?

Would someone please help me out with this?

Am I the only person who thought HALO was a giant bag of boredom?
I played that game for 2 weeks and by the time I got to the end, I would sit there and play a level for the sole sake of finishing the game I started. There was nothing unique and or interesting about it and every level seemed like a lot more of the same to me. Did I miss something wonderful about it? Something so wonderful that people wasted a cumulative 100 million dollars on its sequel on the FIRST day of sales alone? Clue a brother in...

For me Master Chief is really cool in the cut sences and the level designs are great though the mecanics wern't original and managining yourself running back and forth for that one weapon that can take down the Hunter but you droped it half way back for some thing more useful in the moment made it very boring cause there was no enimies in the way. Muti-Player is reall fun depending on weather your friends are into FPS for some of the same reasons above and compared to all the other FPS's out there for the X-Box Halo was the best til 2 came out (Distinktion: I dont really consider first person shooters that have charater advancment or some other RP elemet in it a FPS those in my opinon are RPG's).

I actually loved the first Halo. I thought it had a really cool story, and good-looking levels. I played the single player campaign through from start to finish plenty of times. It was always something good I could kill a whole day with on weekends when I was broke. There are few single-player FPS games that I can play often, but it was definitely one of them.

I never played multiplayer. I'm not really into doing the online thing with console games. I tried it a little bit on PS2 with SOCOM 1 & 2 and thought it was pretty lame. I wasn't impressed enough to pay for the same sort of thing on X-Box.

Besides, in my online games, I'm not a fan at all of the CS-style small, fast-paced zerg games. I prefer stuff like PlanetSide, the Battlefield series, Desert Combat, Joint Ops, stuff like that. Big, long, strategic battles with big levels and LOTS of people.
