Don't hold me to this but he may be "on ice" as far as gaming. I'm hearing that Open Beta for WoW is so jammed with testers that it moves slower than the Skara Brae battle.Novall wrote:I see you trolling...where are you!
Over 500,000 sign ups spread over 40 servers...12,500 players average per server and a snail crawling through molasses will do laps around you.
Might be time for them to do a "first come first play" server limit with a lockout if you don't log-in or pilot your 'toon after a certain time. Something.

I've seen the comparisons as far as SWG vs WoW...and SWG still wins. Mainly due to customizations, crafting, and other various things.

Blizzard has a huge following.. but manu of those are the uber Diablo II players. I am sure many of those will be heading to WoW and the d00dness will be far worse there than it is in SWG.

I no this is no place for WoW bashing so I'll move this thread but I have to add my 2 cents.
From what I played in the WoW beta I am not impressed. The world and characters were too cartoony. It felt like a cross between a fantasy MMORPG and a platform game. Thats not the kind of experience I like to have in something that requires a lot of involvement.
I was thouroughly unimpressed with the character creation. You have very little you can change on your character and every character depending on race/species has the same build. So basically if you choose an elf you will look like every other elf. Very boring.
The content of the game wasn't very inviting. I know SWG could use more content as well but at least I can get into a lot of the existant stuff, even at launch. WoW had nothing that appealed to me.
So basically I'm open to trying another MMORPG with promise but WoW isn't one of them. Make mine SWG.

I too agree with you Seret and another thing right now SWG has somthing no other MMO has Turnbased combat and a First person shooter Sim so you get almost the best of both worlds
Though iam not heavy on Huge PvP scale wars i may find myself going over in Deep space due to the fact that it is no longer FOTM it is Your personal skill involved and the cordination of other players with you
