Event?: Urgent Rebel Contact

I have to make this quick so I can get to class, but to expain my Rebel Holonet post quickly....

I'd like to do a simple space/ground combo event this weekend. It might take a couple hours, but people can come and go.

It starts off with a space battle at a "Backwater" imperial space outpost.
Then a second space battle will occur (location pending the outcome of the first battle).
Finally a third space battle over Dathomir.

The last event is a commando operation to get past the Sith Shadows and into the Village to 'deliver some supplies'. If the situation is fun, we can stay and help out the poor villagers. If we can't handle it, we get in. I talk to Paemos. We get out. And leave no squad member behind.
To make the ground portion even more fun (and include non-FS players) we could make the trip to the Village on foot (stop your wining, my feet hurt too). Then it would be like a big hunt, except with purpose and direction.

I need to know:
1) who's interested in order to roughly gauge numbers for each side in the space battles. (For example, if the imperials are vastly outnumbered, the rebels will refrain from using missles - or some compensation like that.)
2) what time people will be playing over the long (for us students anyway) break. Two possible times would be preferable. I like early Saturday evening myself, but don't want to exclude a lot of people because of dumb timing.
3) any comments to make this event fun, inclusive, and immersive.

LOL.. yup. Mine is cutting a tooth too. Always a whole lot of fussing and crankiness when that happens. The 4 year old sleeps like a rock as long as we can wear her out.. which is increasingly harder and harder to do.

It would also be possible to stay IC with some ingenuity...

Some of you would be OOC Rebels and Imperials in space (of course) but I could also figure out some IC invites for anyone that wants to fight their way through Sith Shadows on Dathomir (Imperials, Neutrals, and Rebels alike). Unaligned people could easily find reasons to join in as well with a small tranfer of credits or a personal favor or two. IC or NPC, whatever floats your boat.

I suppose the pure privateers could have 200 faction delegated to them by whichever side needs them, then just temporarily join covert for the space battles. We have some smugglers and "Brass" from both factions in the group, right?

I'd like to sign up too but as of the momment I'm neutral. I could work as a merc for one side or the other. As for my schedual I'm on Monday-Friday 9am-2pm PST and the weekends varry some times I'm not even on.

If anyone wonders what happened to this... I spawned some social engagements this weekend. Didn't bank on that.

If it doesn't shoestring together later on Friday night, it will have to happen on Sunday (or even down the road - modified to not need Phase4 village). That's how it goes. /shrug

I'll volunteer as an Imperial Pilot. I have no problem takinga handicap if the sides are too weighted. I always forget to load a new cartridge of missiles into my ship anyway.
