Privateer Droid Commands
I don't have the game in front of me I was wondering what the exact usage of Reactor Overload is? I'm setting up to get all my ships chipped up with the useful commands from all 3 factions and was unclear on this.

It gives you more energy out of the reactor. I'm not sure exactly what the additional is, but I know that I can launch with an overloaded (red) reactor, hit overload 3, and have all of the systems work fine.

I hear it will also permanently damage your reactor, eventually breaking it.

And that is why I have never used it. I like using the Energy pulse dose that hurt my ship?

I've launched with a overburdened reactor (red) and everything seemed to be working fine without using my Reactor Overload commands. Was I missing something, such as faster capacitor drain times or equipment condition erosion?
I have yet to mount an astromech in a ship because I haven't seen the usefulness of my privateer commands. I'm still waiting on obtaining the factioned tricks.

I kinda figured that would be how it works. And it seems like it should damage the equipment also. I guess I should try it with a subpar grade reactor before I go using it on my good reactor.
Any chance that the Imperial Droid Commands would damage the components that they augment?

I am with glacial on this one...I have never used any of my privateer commands or even equipped a droid or flight computer...and I'm at 3332 with my current character and was at 3222 with Del'tar prior to his demise. Also, I go up in my kimo with an overloaded reactor by a little more than 1500 for every flight with no problems. Yeah, my capacitor runs out of energy faster, but I haven't noticed anything harmful about it (ie slower recharge rate, decay). Am I missin' sumfin?

Ok so the down fall to that is have the Capacitor recharge augmented. I guess that could be very devistating if you forced max guns on your ship and then set your guns to Overload as well.

Same here. Once you break into Tier 4 you may want to give these special commands a look.Del'tar Chagas wrote:I am with glacial on this one...I have never used any of my privateer commands or even equipped a droid or flight computer...and I'm at 3332 with my current character and was at 3222 with Del'tar prior to his demise. The Rebel commands focus on shields, and it is nice to be able to Adjust Front when facing those nasty shuttles and gunboats.

Reinforcement is just as good though. If your taking heavy Damage to your rear shield while fighting you can dump a portion of your front shields to the rear, or vice versa. I use it more than shifting shields but both are very good.

I think you've got that reversed or maybe the meaning a little mixed.Skarr wrote:reinforcement moves all shields fore or aftdillion wrote:Reinforcement is just as good though. adjust moves a portion fore or aft
Reinforcement - Converts some shield power to help reinforce opposite shield power (but not past maximum levels).
Adjust - Increases max charge for the one shield by reducing max charge for the opposite shields.

ahh then it was changed since it was buggeddillion wrote:I think you've got that reversed or maybe the meaning a little mixed.Skarr wrote:reinforcement moves all shields fore or aftdillion wrote:Reinforcement is just as good though. and can you use reinforce and adjust at same time?

Yeah. Very nice if you get a surprise hit to your rear shields while you've got them shifted to the front. You pitch a bit to the back and your straight.

Hmm.. I need to try Reinforcement.. I gave up on it as they were bugged when I tried it. I was only using Adjust.
