So apparently the LOD manager needs to be off to make people pretty. Well, lately every time I sign on and off it's being turned on. It's really getting irritating. How can I make it default off? Anyone else having a problem with their graphics options not saving?

Before you log in, I believe, you can select options under the play button. There you can get some external video settings that, I also believe, supercede the settings in the game. Under one of those tabs is a setting for LOD Manager. Check your setting there and disable it to see if that help.

So THAT is why SWG looked like it was drawn by a 10 year old yesterday. That has been happening to me on and off for the last week or so and I couldn't figure out why. Weird...what does LOD stand for anyway?

I have permanently turned off this feature and the only way to do it so it never comes backl is in the game options on the launch pad. It makes people look like they have down syndrome and can make screen caps look horrid.
I personally have a very large collection of screen caps from SWG that I consider to be my photo album from days gone by in the game.

I have a religious practice upon loading up every time with SWG...
Screen comes up, Ctrl-O, Graphics, LOD manager OFF. ESCAPE.
Ctrl-P, Character, turn profession title to NO TITLE (usually). Friends, Hide those not on.
Ctrl-E, check e-mail.
Annoyance that has become like a typing test to see how fast I can do it.
It's nice to hear that I can permanently save myself that first Ctrl-O everytime now. Whatever will I do with all that time?

That is my next major major annoyance the fact that I can not turn that to none once you choose one. I opened a ticket on it ocne and they told me to delete my profile directory. Yah right..
