Jibber Jabber

Forgive me if this sounds "old" or "lame" or some combination of the two, but on a whim I threw in a Neil Diamond CD, and it is so working for me right now. Probably because I heard a Neil Diamond Christmas song on the radio yesterday while decorating the tree.

Normally I don't talk about music because I really don't care what other people like/don't like.

I don't know if it is the Neil I am feeling, or the 20 ounces of Starbucks I just downed.. but it is damn good regardless, and I felt compelled to share this with you all.

My Jibber Jabber: I've made really good grades on all my Spanish tests, but I've gotten like bad grades on a lot of the class work, and I wonder if the tests are enough to keep me up. Sad panda. Also I wonder if Kifai will have enough dancing XP to get Dancing 4 when I get home from school. HOPE HOPE HOPE. I love Formal. Aa-aaand I have a duel-date with Novall this afternoon/evening in space that I'm psyched about...aa-aaaaand I hate my Normal Speech and Language Development class that I have to leave the computer lab to go to soon. You HAVE a Neil Diamond CD?

That's just like SO old.

*grins and listens to his player start up on Bing Crosby's White Christmas*

Yeah.. I picked it up and it just said "Play Me".

(And since I KNOW nobody will get the reference.. that happens to be the name of the track that just came on. #18 of CD 1 -- "The Greatest Hits 1966-1992")

Fake Christmas trees bite the big one...

Today my A-hole plant manager decided that it would be fun for me to put together a fake tree and put it in the front foyer of the offices.

"No biggie," I figure.

BRRRRRRNT. Wrong...he gave me a box full of multiple tree's parts. On top of that...You know how each branch is supposed to have a color tag on it so you know what layer goes with each? Cuz this set of trees didn't have that. And the stand was busted so it was listing to starboard the whole time I was trying to put it together.

And I had to listen to the ramblings of a crazy woman who kept saying that when she turns 50, she will be old and that she didn't look like she was 50 and how she wondered if I thought she looked like a 50 year old to which i replied "no, you look like a 46 year old" and told her that 4 years was a long time and to stop obsessing about it since everyone ages except dick clarke and Walt Disney's and Lenin's corpses and how I had work to do and how she probably had work to do and that she would have more if she kept standing around jibba jabberin to me about something that won't happen for anther 4 years. Then I used an uppercut on her that lifted her clear off the ground.

I don't like fake christmas trees. Or crazy people.

That's MY jibba jabba.

Can't say that I'm a big fan of Diamond's but as a fan of music in general ( I can groove off of anything but Polka) Neil Diamond's voice and talent are undeniable. I'm biased toward singer/songwriters that way though.

I damned near went into a frenzy the other late night at work listening to "Big Shot" by Billy Joel. Haven't heard that song in so long.....

"But you had to be a big shot, DINCHA?! You had to open up ya' mouth!"

Recently a song by Prince that I never heard before (which I didn't think could happen) and Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" had me loungining.

I wish I could have been there to see it!!!

My jibber jabber...

So yesterday I came back to school early to get a head start on studying for my Physics final on Tuesday. I figured, ok, I do a little Sunday night and a little Monday night and I'll KICK THAT FINAL'S ATCHHOLE!!! And what did I do when I got back to school??

NOTHING!! I didn't even play SWG, I did NOTHING!!! I can't believe I'm such a moron... And then at 8:00 or so I pass out for like 3 hours... When I wake up at 11, my roommate and a mutual friend of ours are still studying for the same test they were studying when I went to sleep. So I get up and start bugging them because if I can't study then NO ONE CAN!!!! And after some talking we go to Wal-mart and buy some groceries. We get back and do some more nothing for a few hours and 2:00 rolls around and Lewis Black comes on HBO. We watch that for a while (damn funny btw) and our mutual friend leaves. My roommate then goes upstairs to study for a different final. So I go to my room and sit down at my computer and load up SWG, and do some more nothing for a while. 3:45 rolls around and I log off and decided to write the next chapter for Typhus' story. I finish it around 5:30 in the morning, post it and try to go to bed. I can't keep my eyes closed and lay in bed for an hour. I finally fall asleep and wake up around 1:00 today and what is the first thing I do? Check out SWG Tales....

So if you don't care to read this whole thing, just read this...

I SUCK AT LIFE...

So here is another Jibber-Jabber question..

On the reccomendation of a friend I rented Chronicles of Riddick. When the DVD loads it asks me "Convert" or "Fight" before the main menu comes up. Is there any significance to the choice?

Hang on... I'll go check it...

*Checks DVD for Ekade*

*Come back from checking DVD*

There doesn't appear to be any difference other than what the menu looks like after you choose either one...

Convert... The background is a part from the movie when the Necromungers try to get him to convert...

Fight... The background is just Riddick's Baldes all shiny and stuff...
