The new patch is up. Guess what? No PVP death penalties in deep space and ships are repaired with no decay coming back from deep space! This might give us PVE only folks a chance to try out PVP for a change...

Look they threw Wookiees a bone:

Crafting aprons are now wearable by all races. If a Wookiee or an Ithorian wears a crafting apron, it will appear as a chef apron.

Sweet.. the only issue is that you need to be an ace to go there. But still, this is a step in the right direction I think.

We need to go there en masse and whoop it up.

and they probably didn't fix the faction problem with deep space for neutrals...

here's what happens, a neutral decides to go to deep space, they have to pick reb or imperial, fine no problem

but when they get back to kessel, (and only kessel space it seems) they are now aligned with the faction they chose going to deep space, so all of the same faction they chose show up white on radar and cannot be attacked, and all enemy faction is red...
