Rant on Publish 9

I'm gonna steal X'an's torch for a minute and rant on this new patch. There is a LOT of bugs that I don't much care for.
- Loot Kits - sure, grab a kit and start looking for parts. Did we mention the parts of so freakin' rare it will take you a solid month of NPC killin' to get the item? Isn't that fun?
- "Equipping/un-equipping/transferring items now goes through the Command Queue. Equipping armor and weapons also has a delay associated with it." - So now when I have to switch from Rifle to Scythe in mid-battle in a hurry I'm just screwed. Thanks.
- Putting your vehicle in your toolbar sure is handy... if you want to examine it all the time. w00t.

Here are my rants...
-No TEF for jedi using powers in public and they are all wearing the same clothes...lame and uncalled for. Before yesterday, I'd seen 6 Jedi since launch, yesterday I saw 14.
-Loot drops are very poor...worse than usual. I killed all that stuff and didn't get a single locked container.
-Combat re-balance things have apparently gone into effect. This is good and bad. I like what they're doing, but it took me a while to notice that the effectiveness on weapons drops as it's condition drops. My modified republic blaster had a min damage of 16 and a max of 63 at one point. A warning would have been nice. Armor appears to do the same thing when it needs to be repaired.
Here's a good rant:
-The precision laser knives appear to be bugged. If you have one out and you use it until it runs out, it will use the next one(s) from the crate until you close the inventory window. So, if you are grinding out slicing XP, as long as you don't open and close the inventory window, you can still auto use knives from the crate.

Glad someone told me/figured it out. Man I wish I was a developer for SOE, I could write buggy code and then not document it. Thats just a programmer's dream. The ultimate in unaccountability.
Does anyone know if its possible to still Jedi grind now? I been hearing rumors that all holos are now silent and possibly worthless now.

Yep, the Jedi's were a plenty last night. I actually had to compete for Tusken kills last night with a Jedi weilding a green double-ended lightsaber. It was weird.
I guess we can't complain too much, since its only supposed to be temporary. Must be nice for the Jedi's since they can now grind out XP much easier.

Fucking great. I usually let my weapons (and armor) get down to next to nothing before I bother to have it repaired, simply because I don't need MORE things to do in game (like stop at a weapon or armorsmith to have my stuff repaired).

Well, this is at least a good thing. Now I can leave one laser knife out and just slice an entire suit of armor for guys in Theed without having to take 80 extra steps. Do WUKs/AUKs work the same way too?

No, everything else can just stay in the crates when you slice.

On weapon/armor condition:
I know my armor's effectiveness has always gone down as the condition went down. Thats not new but the weapon condition/stats thing is. That pisses me off. I have enough trouble figuring out what weapon to use when and what attack is most effective against whatever NPC or creature but now I'll have to repair my weapon more often and probably break them. Right now I'm am using some very rare and unique weapons so if they break I'm back to medicore ones. If that 33% damage sliced Scythe I have breaks I'm gonna be pissed.
On Jabe's Jedi Question:
You can still grind professions until publish 10 when the new Jedi Quests come out but you cannot become a jedi. The professions you master will still count as credit towards the quests.

Yeah, I'll be pleased as punch if my 300+ Max Damage Pre-Nerf FWG5 breaks. Not like I can get another one of those.

This is why I'm constantly hitting the "CLEAR" button in the command queue when I'm fighting stuff. Sometimes I have two Last Ditch attacks queued up (which take a long time to execute), and I'll get whomped to within an inch of my life.
Knowing that if I don't heal next I'll die, I hit CLEAR on the queue and immediately jam down my /heal self macro key. Then I start loading up my queue again.

I could not get any of my grind macros to work last night. I have had small probs w/ this before, but this time they completely broke it...

I thought you figured it out. Wasn't the macro not working because you weren't using the right tool? I know this wacky patch made it so crafting tools are way more specific now. You have to have the right tool for the right job.

Well I did try that, but even using the proper tool didnt work...It still only let me build one thing, even when I changed the schem #.

What I hate about it is not being able to go after the 4 Jedi that were taunting me while i wated for a shuttle with my BH tag on. It really made me angry. When it happened a second time, I just gave up and logged.

This is just downright RETARDED.
And you all scoffed at me for mocking an all Jedi patch. So let me get this straight, Jedi can now walk around in full robes with their lightsabers lit and everything, and NOT get a TEF?

It was a big Jedi party in Theed last night, people were running around with lightning coming from their feet and stuff. I was like wha??? And then I realized I was seeing a bunch of Jedi tricks I've never seen before.
