Why the cash bonus with the economy inflated for JtL users? Why not just make a cool space mission like they did for Life Day on the ground? Visit this spot in space that resembles the wookiee Orb starfield and talk to the static NPC floating Corvette ship there and you get a special piece of loot!
I dunno. Seems kinda like "Santa" forgot to visit before you woke up so Mom and Dad give you some money to try and make it up to you or something.
JtL Cash Present
Ya that sucks time ten. I was reading my IRL email and it says that I get 75k. I hate to break it to SOE but that will get me a soda and one of those super bouncey balls. I mean they gave us a cool holo and peice of art last year. All we get now is this stupid 75k that will get us nothing to bo honost. I cannot even get a crappy peice of comp like a bracer for that much.

Got my email...now I can buy that new Mandoviol I've always wanted...and maybe some cheese! I hope entertainer /tips go up with all this free money floating...
Oooh, maybe Alonzo can afford to pay us (The Kreetles...in case we're not as famous as I'd hoped)...for August.../wink

Like it's been said over at the SOE boards, this is probably more of a JTL sales booster than anything else. The game is now $10 on Amazon, so it didn't give SWG the boost it needed.

It sounds like SOE couldn't come up with any good ideas for gifts this year so they threw credits around instead. Personally I agree with Dwilah, it feels like a lame, impersonal gift. I suppose its a silly thing to complain about, who are we to complain about any gift at all.
One bonus that can come out of this. If you see Burbo begging for credits you know for a fact he just recieved 75,000 credits. Call that little bastard on it.

I don't know about you all...but my bankroll has never been all that high...a 75k gift is like a tenth of what my HIGHEST BANK SAVINGS ever was. I will take it gladly.

I started a thread on the SOE forums asking for ideas on how to spend this wondrous gift..
It was my hopes that people would use it as a place for coming up with funny idea. Instead in turned into a bitch thread.
Here are a few of the things I was thinking:
- buy a pair of composite armor gloves
- save it until next years gift and buy a crate of brandy
- pay for a line cut in Coronet
- tip an entertainer (yeah, riiiight)

Hey frankly I'm grateful. 75k is better then nothing. I think we're forgetting that we should be thankful to get something and instead of thinking about what we can't do with this money think of what you can do. Go get someone a christmas present it's the season of giving after all. What's all this doom and gloom about?

Its more like getting a gift at Christmas and seeing the person put no thought into it. You're gratefull to get anything, and sure you're going to use it, but its a little bit sad when there's no heart behind it.Hashum wrote:Hey frankly I'm grateful. 75k is better then nothing. I plan on giving all 75K to dancers and musicians, I just have pick which ones.

I've actually tipped entertainers as high as 20k, provided they put something about me in their bio.Ekade wrote:- tip an entertainer (yeah, riiiight)

Actually I usually tip an entertainer 10-15k the only thing is they can't have the AFK tag over their head, that irritates me to no end. So when I find an entertainer that actually interacts with you I try to tip them well.

Hey.. 75,000 is a hell of a lot better than a Holcron..
- There is no false value in 75K
- There is no 3 month exercise in futility that comes with 75K
- There is no HUGE cash expenditure buying resources to grind with that comes with 75K
- 75K does not fill you with false hope of the promise of uncovering the mysteries of the Jedi myth.
The more I think about it.. the happier I am with 75K. What would REALLY be nice is my own personal shuttle so I can avoid waiting for transportation altogether.
