SWG Tales

This is something what will probably end up being too hard to set up and not that much fun to watch.. buuuuut...

Wouldn't it be cool to see a live Chess game where the pieces are SWG toons?

Perhaps this could be a server competition.. we can see which server can come up with the coolest chess board. Think of all the possibilities for the piece set themes.. Rebels, Imperials, Wookiees (or any alien specific set), droids, bounty hunters, ranged, melee, HAWT, etc..


Like so many other good ideas, this is certain to fade into oblivion.. but hey, it is always fun to dream.

Let's take it a step further..a live game of Mouse Trap using SWG toons!!!!

Well, it could be set up just for a screenie. See who comes up with the coolest looking one. But playing wouldn't work cuz you have too many individuals involved. "Hey, dumbass. Bishop to b7! Noob."

Yes, Battle Chess was my inspiration for this idea. Actually that was my first introduction to the game of chess(Commodore Amiga days, circa 1990).

Could always do Monopoly if you could create the board.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing half-way through my original post. Perhaps only play 1 game on the best board.

Ah, yes I do so love Chess. Battle Chess was the best, did anyone else own the Star Wars version of Battle Chess?

Oh yes, that was a great one. If only for the fact that it made the Star Wars character so much more violent than they were. Do you remember when an AT-ST would take C-3PO? It would walk over him until he was flattened. Or when Yoda would take a Stormtrooper, he's force the Stormtrooper to shoot himself. My favorite was when Boba Fett took Chewbacca. He's remove his jetpack and use the boosters to fry Chewbacca to ash.

I was thinking as I was reading the posts, how the knight could be people in full armor mounted on Cu Pas since they are small and seem to turn easier then the larger creature mounts.

Rancor's could be rooks too.

Someone set up a very elaborate wizard's chess type of thing in SWG once before. I wish I still had the screen shot.

I remember a screen from the "SWG Home Show" of someone who created a chess board in their guild hall and used droids for the pieces. I would assume two admins could actually move the droids around and actually play chess on it. It was sweet.
