You used to be able to pick them up when you used a treasure map.

I thought that was the same as the ability to pick up the chair from a camp bug. You could pick it up but you couldn't do anything with it.

Those mag-seal containers would vanish at server reset with EVERYTHING you put in it. I remember I had one way back in the day that I put some mabari armor in...back when Mabari armor was all anyone could afford

Anyhow it ate it. I think you could keep it safe in your backpack though.
