I'm sure looking forward to it. Besides the fact that its a Tim Burton film its based more on the book than the original film. Don't get me wrong, I love the Gene Wilder version but this looks like it will be different enough from it to enjoy in a whole new light.

Why do ya'll have to put movies in odd formats? :D

Kidding. But I can't get it to work but it sounds like a remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? What format is it suppoed to be?

I'm full-on stoked for this film.

I've heard that Roald Dahl never much cared for the original film, because it wasn't dark enough. The book is sinister in its darkness, and I think this is going to be the version he really would have loved to have seen made.

I love the Gene Wilder one. I love it dearly, but I'm looking forward to what Depp does with Wonka. Just the page-boy look alone is enough to creep me out.

Another bit of contemporary pop culture that miraculously slipped by me somehow in my youth.

I am a big fan of Roald Dahl's spy classics, but never checked out Wonka.

I'm a longtime Depp fan as well so I'm looking forward to the book and movie.

If you can't see this trailer (which I could not), and you really want to see one, check out Yahoo! movies. They have one where there are some creepy kids singing 'bout willy wonka in the background.
