As most of you have probably heard Hasbro is releasing the OTC (Original Trilogy Collection) Action figure for the DVD release of the movie. I like the homage to the hold packaging, makes me want to get 'em!

I am such Lucas' bitch! I rant into the new old style Han, Obi-wan, and R2-D2 today at Target...and shamelessly bought all three, because those were the first three figures my parents bought me in 1977. I can still remember getting them at he Jewel that was across the street from Kiddy Land...damn, it's been a long time.

I guess this is kinda cool, but you know their doing this to get older fans who were around for these toys to buy them all over again. Mark my words, 23 years from now they'll bring all the toys from Episode 1-3 back out. You know the naboo fighter, the Obi/Qui gon droideka playset, the char broiled Ani, Jar Jar (shutters at the thought) and all the current kids will be adults and head out and buy them as well.
And incase no one knew, all the billions of dollars they get for bringing back all the star wars merch, the toys, the seventeenth special reworked episode 1-6 editions with edits and reshoots...
Will Smith now playing Lando, Han Solo being played by a washed up Fankie Muniz, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman replacing Jabba and Boba, as well as playing the episode 3-6 Obi wan (they'll just appear conjoined at the hip) then unexplicably placed as random characters through all the episodes. And of coarse the most fan desired change, Shaft will be playing Darth Vader.
But as I was saying, when they do re-release all of this, the money generated will be pumped into a large vent like opening above George Lucas' burial pyramid that is two miles below ground, and this will continue to happen every 23-27 years or so, all the old stuff will be re-released until the giant pyramid becomes so full with money that it fires Lucas' body out of the small vent and either into space where it will orbit earth, or if that doesn't happen and it fall sback to earth it will be taken and Lucas' will be cloned and they will begin production on episodes 7-9, which lucas will of coarse say he's had written for years.

You know.. there are people who make their own custom clothes for Barbie's.
