Someone who got the Japanese special edition of the game put up a screenie of some cool eyewear that is available to characters there. They are so cool check them out.

There's a lot of stuff they could put in game that people would really love to get.

The Japanese get all the cool stuff - even in a fake universe.

Bah. I feel cheated. Here I could've got a ver I didn't know the language and had cool eye wear rather than the sei decent stuff I got now.

From 4 years of living in Japan, trust me, they're looking at the original SWG CE goggles and saying "Damn! The American goggles look cooler than ours. They always get the cool stuff!" :lol:

It's like how some Japanese will have a really nice car and stick decals of some common American product on it. I've seen cars with everything from the Annheuser-Busch eagle to A&W Rootbeer logos on them. And really big. Cracked me up.

On the other hand they were boggled by the American fascination with tattooing Japanese alphabet & characters on ourselves.

Believe me I think many of us would gladly trade all our goggles for just that cool monoscope

I had known that they were facinated by much of our culture. I had Seen something on TV once about how it was fashionable for those who could do it, to get their eyes more rounded like Americans. But that was like ages ago that I saw that. However I hadn't known that they went so far as to proudly display American products. Its kind of cool how they can do that and still remain a very traditional culture.

I noticed these eye peices are being worn by wookiee NPC's all over Kashyyyk and even the girl working the Kashyyyk space station. Anybody know if they are lootable now? Do you need to ahve the special edition to wear them?

If anybody has info - let me know.

hey, when I went to TC before the CU, it gave me the japanese versions even though I didn't buy a special edition SWG in the first place...

so if you know the command for glasses. you might be able to get them too
