I picked up the pilot/miniseries of the updated Battlestar Galactica yesterday. Its the second time I have seen it and I am really looking forward to the series premier next week on SCI-FI.
Anyone else here a big Battlestar fan? And will you be tuning into the series?
Premier of the series is friday the 14th at 9pm FYI

There was a Battlestar Galactica game for the PS2 that came out a while back. Almost bought it...does that count?

No, that game sucked the sweat off a dead man's balls.

I don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound good.

Dude, you NEED to start watching 24 then.

Hell yes.
Not a huge fan of the original series (I loved it when I was a kid, and then realized that the idiot writers decided that a Centon could be a unit of measurement (distance), time (minute), and money all in the same word.
But the remake?
Hot sex. I have no other words to define how excellent it is.

E-Bo ya' beat me to posting this very same thread. Fan of both generations. Bought last year's show on DVD and a bag of chips.
But, sorry I have to mention, 5 days before Galactica...
24 is off the meter! Season 4, baby!
"Heart Attack" Jack is back!

Got Seasons 1-2 for Christmas. Immediately ran out and bought Season 3.

Heh. Been watching it since day 1. Or should I say hour 1? ;)
I don't think I've missed an ep. I don't know how you people can possibly watch the DVDs. If I hadn't ever seen the show, and someone sat me down with one of the DVDs, I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO STOP IT.
There would be a 24 hour (literally) marathon of 24.

I have sort of this tradition ever year. I refrain from watching the regular season of 24 on TV and during our New Year break my wife and I just pick up the 24 Season DVDs and watch them all in one weekend.
Now this weekend we were unable to get through the whole 3rd season but most of it. There has never been a more thrilling show on television. Its not even acurate to call it a TV show, its more like a 24-hour Movie Epic. I love a show where you're never sure if someone is going to live or die.
So to keep the tradition alive I'll will not be watching season 4 on Fox but rather looking forward to next New Year's and the DVD set.
