Ekade will be there for her periodic beating.. I mean workout.
For those of you who have not been.. I HIGHLY recommend this. There is a depth to the combat system that Dariis has shown me. This is something you melee fighters don't want to miss.

Why did I used to think Fencers could beat TKM's?
Was I just dead wrong? Did they change something on me? Or are all the TKM's where multiclassed melee profs?
I got my butt kicked so hard yesterday.. it's pissing me off.

Maybe its time to spread that 56% around differently...
Nah but really, people like me have stacked defense mods from being (in my case TKM and pistoleer). I ma not sure how many skill points it takes to be a master dancer, but that probably where others in the class have the edge.
In any case I think you can do much better with the skill points you have, you just might not know what to change yet.

I am surpirzed too Ekade, it seems that fencer is not holding up as it used to. As you are disappointed, so am I hehe, I was first to fall 100% of the time last night. *rubs his head* but the 3 on 3 duels were a lot of fun, I am glad we had he turnout we did.
the way I look at duels is this:
intimidate is the strongest state to be put in, there fore if intimidated and using all special attacks, the damage to HAM ratio becomes a disadvantage. example teras hit3 without a knuckler does 150 to another teras, intimidated it does 75, the ham is still 10-20 per pool (depending on stats) and hit3 is always a random pool.
Stun and intimidated makes you do the least amount of damage.
Blinded makes you miss more
posture change slows you down and when kneeling you take a little more damage.
knocked down should always be followed by your power attacks (and its rumored that you can stun/dizzy etc.. better if your opponent is kd)
there for I make sure my power attack starts a duel so if they start with an intimidate ill get one power attack off before they intimidate me, then I blind and stun in that order.
another good trick is to know the HAM costs of the weapon your opponent has. a Gaffi is high health ham, a vibro knuckler is high action, most lances and pike weapons are high action or health.
I feel that weapons for a duel should have the power up, not just for better damage, but for the HAM cost reduction. lower a gaffi health from 60 to 38 and lower a VK from 56 to 35, then you are better for a duel. I use bare hands for the low ham cost, but I am all melee so I have a strong defense

It takes more skill points to master Dancer than it does to master any of the elite combat professions (excluding the hybrids commando and BH). Basically 44% of your available skill points.
I seriously don't know if I can devise a more lethal combo aside from replacing Fencer with TKM. I am a Master Brawler with the FS Melee Defense branch (thought I would augment the defensive because that is the supposed strength of Fencer).
So I have the defenses of Fencer, Brawler, FS Melee Defense, and Master Dancer (+7.. and dont you ever forget it). This is good a melee defense as is possible from a template which MUST include master Dancer. However, it simply does no good. I still get hit all the time by a TKM.
On the other hand, I have a lot going against me. Twileks have goofy HAM with very low secondaries in some critical places. To offset this we get an entertainer healing bonus and very high Action and Quickness.. which is utterly valueless in combat. If quickness translated into something meaningful like melee defense.. that would be a different story.

Ahh.. maybe I should use weapon powerups.
