The 24 Season Four--->Five Thread !!! :)

Okay, the first 14 minutes and 14 seconds of the show was hot hot hot...yet chilling...

The new cast looks solid and character development is already rolling.

I love 24... I have seen season three and am backtracking by buying season 1 on DVD and soon season 2. I am currently watching the premier, with a bit of delay cause I got it on Tivo and am just starting the beginning of the show.

I like it so far but I am a little concerned by them putting so many females in the new cast. The interaction is better when you have at least an even number on both sides. Besides they have a bad history creating storylines that make you want to cry in pain with the females on this show.

The first two episodes aired tonight were awesome. THe only things I was diappointed with is the apparent lack of Elishe Cuthbert. They explained it but it kinda sucks..

Unfortunately, the only character guaranteed to come back season after season is Jack, and damnit if the writers make me question even THAT every episode.

I swear, 24 is the only show that makes the logic center in my brain shut up and I actually believe that the star of the (now in its 4th season) show could possibly die at any given moment.

And I thought they should have shut the door after the first season. "They couldn't POSSIBLY have another day like that! Jack would like, die of a heart attack!" Silly me.

I have never seen the show, but let me just ask some burning questions I have. Every episode is literally supposed to be ONE (1) hour out of the day, with each season completing one day, right?

Are seasons 1, 2, 3, and now 4 all the same 4 day stretch? If that is the case, are there episodes where the entire hour shows Kiefer Sutherland sleeping the entire time? I ask this of course, tongue in cheek because I already know the answer. But isn't anyone else bothered by this fact?

They are all like a year or so apart. Not consecutive days, I was just joking about that. Everybody generally gets in to so much crap they can't sleep anyway.

Normally I don't do this (I only watch 24 season by season on DVD) but my wife and I broke down and watched the first hour of the first episode of season four.

While it had all the great qualities the show continues to have I was disappointed at the lack of returning characters. I mean all we had was Jack and Chloe the super-annoying chick. This won't stop me from liking the show or enjoying the new cast of characters but in the back of my head I had high hopes for former-President Palmer, Tony, Chase, Kim and Michelle. Ah well maybe they'll pop up in this season.

The show still rocks all other shows out of the water.

Personally I am glad Kim is gone. I wanted her to die in the first season. And those of us that watch the show know why Tony and Michelle didn't return. I had hoped to see at least Chase still in the organization, but given his relationship and what not it was a given that he wouldn't be as big in this season.

Oh I know why they're gone, and they dont' even have to tell us why they are gone. Personally I agree about Kim because the last two seasons just seemed to throw her into the story just to have her there. Even the writers admit it was getting harder and harder to do Palmer stories. The new cast makes sense, its just sad to see the old one go.
