So it only took me all night...

Since the devs published the loot craziness stuff, I have been hell bent on collecting the view screen loot kit parts to get the paintings they create. Until todays publish, I never saw a single piece of it.
I spent an entire buffset tonight killing npc's and looted the parts like it was my job. After some slight confusion and a lot of dead meatlumps, ragtag kooks, and sleemo punks, I ended the night with 2 new paintings crafted from scratch.
Here is the breakdown of how it is done for those who don't know.
There are two different kinds of broken view screens (a gray one and a brown one), therefore, there are 2 different lootkits to assemble them. The kit that takes the gray screen is called the View Screen Printer and looks like a bong. The brown view screen uses the Picture Printer. It looks like a starship deed.
The View screen printer requires all 5 of the lootkit pieces to assemble: Paint dispersal unit, Paint cartridge, blank canvas, view screen technical something or another (typing from memory, so back off) and the view screen itself. The view screen printer only requires 4 of those items; you don't need the technical reader thingy.
Here is the rub. When you add items to the lootkit, you may experience a bug in which the item does NOT go into the kit but DOES get removed from your inventory. If this happens, do not worry. The item actually IS in the lootkit, but you can't see it. You must be careful to remember what parts you have in each kit. Luckily, once you have put a particular part into it, you cannot put a duplicate inside...so no worries there. Put all the pieces in and Voila....instant painting. My house in noc has the bio-engineer painting and one of a droid if anyone would like to see them.
Also, you can loot finished posters from random npc's. But where is the fun in that?
