Yeah.. this could make this feel like a whole new game. I truly hope this revamp is a big success!!

A combat system that presents you with meaningful decisions is incredibly fun. It sounds like they are on the right track.

all I want from the revamp is for the Jedi Tef system to come back...I mean really, no force user is welcome in this era except the ones trained by vader and the emperor, and they are secret.

make it so if a jedi has his sabre out, he is fair game to anyone...that will teach them to keep their sabre hidden, and use the force only when neccessary. even a buffed Jedi knight in the FRS would have trouble if he walked around coronet and a mob decided to jump him. I think that WAS the best check and balance for jedi in the past. Also im sick of seeing lightsabres everyday!

I had hoped the Combat Revamp would give us something to look forward to and so far everything they've said sounds like it will. The fact that they are not only addressing the problems with combat but also the problems with the variety of weapons and armor is a plus. I'm very much looking forward to this.

Now we just need some new ground content to try this little combat revamp on. If this revamp is good enough maybe it will make all current ground content seem like a new game. Here's to hoping.

Looks like they've got a solid plan. I hope that they follow through. With the increase in range it seems that kiting will still play the most important role in ranged fighters life, but it'll be a lil easier cause they can start from farther away.

I wonder if this will tip the scale back to ranged as it was before.

With everyone taking advantage for entertainers buffs and food I really don't consider the mind the weak point it once was in PVP. Most times I see fellows with 2500+ mind bars. But it's nice they will finally rework it.

Not for a long while, if at all, they're doing an invitation only sandbox test (Like the Publish 9 testing) and it's starting with Coresspondents and people like that for the Alpha and moving over to the beta that we apply to on the main site. And after that they'll probably drop it on TC for a week or two to just introduce it more to the public. Then kick it to Live.

I'll be happy if it's done before June. Though it would be a great 2-year event... "HEY EVERYONE! This is SWG, the game you've played for two years! Sorry but we changed it, later!"
