When will Special Edition people get a little love. I like many others bought the special edition of the game when it first came out cause Sony promised us special content and what did we get? Ugly ass glasses that I never wear and cann't sale. They've done veteran rewards why cann't they do some SE Rewards as well. Maybee a unique bike, ship, mount, or clothing that doesn't really do anything besides looking cool. How about some Matrix style shades. How about some thing any thing.

What do u guys think? Should SE player get some thing a little extra?

I totally agree.

I'm thinking maybe they should get a special silver figurine, and an art book, oh, and maybe a patch, too!

The figurine blows. Mine has a bent blaster. But the goggles is really all I cared about.

Yeah I love my goggles... Until today actually my face just felt empty without them. Don't know what happened to me today that makes me like seeing my face without them though.

I didn't buy the special edition because I was not aware of it. How do I get glasses?

Unless you buy the SE and re-build a character there is no way to get glasses that I know of. A pity too. I think that there was another style of glasses from the SE that I thought were slick.

Way back when I first saw that artbook, I was a bit envious and considered buying an SE. Loved the style. The hooded Twi'lek with the armor chestplate and holstered blaster was how I first envisioned Keer Tregga. Smuggler/Merchant. I never knew that SE buyers were supposed to get special content though.

The art book and all that is fine, BUT SOE did market the SE as having special content and those glasses are ok but look at the other online games like WOW. Those who got the SE for it get a few minnor things and a pet that will fight with you. And as far as I know the only way to get a pet is to get the SE. And for what the SE players got you think 80 bucks was too much? I kinda do. The art book I might have payed 10 for, the figgure maybee 5 and thats a strech for me, as for the patch I three free ones for Republic Commando and I wouldn't pay a dime for the one we got.

On and whats with the eyeware catagory on the bazzar? I've seen that since day one. I cann't put these SE glasses on it and I've never heard of any other's in the game.

The art-book is actually a joke (I was being a bit facetious (sp?) up there). The sketches and any of the concept art was already published online via the SWG website, so fans who were clamoring for MORE only got what they had already seen.

Then, there were pages upon pages of renders of what the environments looked like, and pages of renders of possible character creation faces for all of the races.

I remember looking at those and wondering why in the christ would SOE "spoil" the character creation process for people with that book. I mean, we obviously BOUGHT the game, we're about to see it as soon as it's done installing.

I even thought the glasses weren't very Star-Warsy. All-in-all, I was pretty dissappointed with the SE. When my wife bought hers I insisted she just get the regular edition. The SE wasn't worth the extra moolah.

I do remember there being an art book though. Maybe it was just store sold then. One of my friends still has it. I thought that he got it via SE purchase, maybe he just bought it at the store.

The dual wielding Rodian Pistoleer was another nice one. That picture is in the original manual too, though.

All in all Special Editions or Collector's editions and whatever are just ways for SoE/whoever to gank out more money. I bought the EQ2 Special Edition and I really got nothing, some useless decorations in game and the soundtrack that if you have half a brain you can dig out of the EverQuest2 folder and an art book that actually had some stuff on it. Anyway I don't think that's even the point... Cause I don't even play EQ2 anymore ;x

I don't regret buying the special edition and but if I could go back I'd probably skip it. I do like the art book, mainly because I love art so much, and someday I will put that patch on some article of clothing I have. The one thing that is too bad is my glasses are gone with the wind. Somewhere down the line my bank got flushed or something because they are nowhere to be found. Oh well, guess Seret's future isn't bright enough. :D
