Crazy Chicago Storm

Was I the only person who had to stop playing tonight because of that crazy storm that hit the Chicagoland area around 5:30?
For those not in this area, for some reason we got hit with this wicked storm (that started about 2 min after they cut into the Simpsons to warn us about it). We got about 5 inches of rain over here in Gary within couple of hours. A ton of people lost their power. I didn't, but my DSL was rendered helpless (I pulled up the network screen in SWG and I stopped sending and recieving packets, or I would have a 17 send BW and 0 recieve BW).
I know most of you are in the area, so I was wondering if you all got caught with it too.

Yeah, but I was working with about $200,000 worth of Motion Capture equipment at the time
For once, we didn't lose power *OR* get flooded. At least the annual flood already happened at work this year. We're all still waiting for the big power outage.

I wouldn't actually say you missed anything..it sucked. I was at home with the sick baby during the day. There was one really bad 10 minute storm earlier in the day, and then one around 4. The didn't last long, but good god, did they cause havoc.

Yeah, they were classified as microbursts. I guess one of 'em dropped 5 inches of rain on a town in like ten minutes.

Really, that's all you guys got? Ours was horrible. We had wind gusts pushing the 80 mph range. Multiple streets had to be closed because they flooded. A ton of people ended up losing power and my DSL went to plaid.
