Unlearn that which you have learned

I don't post very often here, but i found these commands and thought that if anyone would appreciate them it would be Gorath's RP community. I recently heard about a command to unlearn languages. This is something I have wanted to do for a while now but didn't know was possible. I feel it adds a lot more to the RP element of the game. I always hated the way language were set up in this game. I really feel they should only give smugglers the ability to understand all languages and add a translation module to install into Protocol Droids so they can translate for you, when you have them grouped up with you. Anyway, without further delay...

/surrenderSkill social_language_twilek_comprehend

/surrenderSkill social_language_wookiee_comprehend

/surrenderSkill social_language_zabrak_comprehend

/surrenderSkill social_language_basic_comprehend

/surrenderSkill social_language_rodian_comprehend

/surrenderSkill social_language_trandoshan_comprehend

/surrenderSkill social_language_moncalamari_comprehend

/surrenderSkill social_language_bothan_comprehend

/surrenderSkill social_language_lekku_comprehend

And similarly to unlearn speaking

/surrenderSkill social_language_twilek_speak

/surrenderSkill social_language_wookiee_speak

/surrenderSkill social_language_zabrak_speak

/surrenderSkill social_language_basic_comprehend

/surrenderSkill social_language_rodian_speak

/surrenderSkill social_language_trandoshan_speak

/surrenderSkill social_language_moncalamari_speak

/surrenderSkill social_language_bothan_speak

Let me know what you guys think of these commands. It is possible to unlearn basic, but it seems that you can still understand it just fine even if you unlearn it. It is actually fun to hear how each language sounds (or looks) some are easier to understand than others. Zabrak is relatively easy to understand compared to the wookiee language. That one is nearly impossible.

I apologize if this has been posted here previously.

I guess we have something in common then. ;)

I try to come here as often as I can, but it is difficult to try to keep up with all my responsibilites. Unfortunately, it doesn't afford me much opportunity to RP. I am going to try to change that however, even if just a little. I have attended some RP events, but usually lay low. I know a few members of your community and it is always fun to interact with them. I want to bring more of a RP element to RC, and may have some of them accompany me to some of the RP events.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Jabe!

Yeah I second the thanks and the welcome (no offence nevered heard of you guys but you've impressed Jabe and thats good enough for me). I've known you can unlearn them but I never could find the exact command to do so. Thx for them.

You are very welcome, I knew you folks here would appreciate those commands. It has been very interesting to say the least since I forgot the languages, especially trying to carry on a conversation with a wookiee. I just nod and stare blankly hoping they don't rip my arms off.

I am not offended whatsoever thay you haven't heard of us. To be honest, I prefer it that way. We have been a guild since September 2003 and have been living in Ruby Lake, Naboo since even before player cities were in game. We are a rebel guild made up mostly of crafters (altough recently I believe we have more combatants amongst our ranks) We don't pvp very much, and we don't RP much. Myself and Iloure Livaly (the mayor of Ruby Lake) have been to a few RP events and I always enjoy myself at them. We will be starting our own RP group amongst the members of RC, trying to get more people involved in it without forcing it upon those that do not want to RP. I do look forward to meeting more of you in my travels.

Hey, good to see you here. I unlearned a lot of languages after Jabe's event. It has made for a lot of good rp.

Much like every new person in the game, I learned every language I possibly could. I later decided that someone in my position shouldn't know any of the languages, and I surrendered them a LONG time ago.

Not only did it take my RP to the next level because I honestly don't know when people are conspiring against me, but now I don't get half the spam in Coronet.

Not always. I rarely see Ekade speak basic anymore.

I had Rhian surrender basic... you can do that. She only understands Ryl and Lekku.

The problem is, you can still understand it and you have to remember to change language as soon as you log in.

I'm pretty sure E-bo only speaks Ryl...
And Dweev only speaks Ithorian...
And most of the wookiees only speak, uh, drawing a blank. wookiee Language?
lol

Well if I could I would have Jaminos speak Ubes. (Yes Ubes is a language. Who do you think made the helmet?)
